Maserati has given the Grecale a meaningful refresh that places performance and electric efficiency back at the center of attention. In a crowded premium SUV segment, the update is designed to keep the model relevant for buyers who want strong output, modern technology, and long-distance usability.

The Italian brand is also using this move to reinforce the Grecale’s role as one of its key global sales pillars. The strategy suggests Maserati wants the SUV to stay competitive as expectations rise around comfort, driving character, and range.

A new engine for the base model

The most visible change comes under the hood. The entry-level Grecale no longer uses the previous inline four-cylinder setup and now switches to a newly developed V6 engine.

Maserati says the change improves performance and delivers a more impressive exhaust note. For the luxury segment, that blend of stronger output and distinctive sound remains an important selling point.

Folgore is now better prepared for longer trips

The fully electric Grecale Folgore has also received an important update. Maserati has improved battery energy management through a new-generation battery cell chemistry innovation, which raises usable energy storage significantly.

As a result, the electric model’s driving range is said to increase notably. That makes the Grecale Folgore more practical for intercity travel, since drivers should need fewer charging stops along the way.

The cabin keeps its premium character

Inside, the Grecale continues to lean into its European luxury identity. High-quality leather is paired with genuine carbon-fiber accents across the dashboard, giving the cabin a refined but still sporty atmosphere.

The infotainment system has also been updated with two touchscreens running the latest software generation. Maserati has added a premium audio system as well, aiming to make long journeys more comfortable for passengers.

Market interest is already building

The update has quickly drawn attention from collectors and loyal customers. Some prospective buyers have reportedly already contacted official dealers to place orders for the new model.

Mass production at the Italian plant is scheduled to begin later this year. With its revised engine lineup, updated electric range, and familiar luxury-focused cabin, Maserati appears to be positioning the Grecale to remain a central player in its global portfolio.
