A Pen That Records Meetings Quietly, Flowtica Scribe Turns Notes Into AI Summaries

Flowtica Scribe has entered the retail market as a real pen that also works as a discreet AI meeting recorder. The device combines two tools that are usually separate: a gel pen for writing and an automatic conversation recorder.

Its appeal is simple. Users can keep writing on paper while the pen captures nearby speech and turns it into summaries, decisions, and follow-up items after the meeting ends.

Designed to stay unnoticed in the room

Unlike many dedicated note-taking gadgets, Flowtica chose a form factor that looks familiar and remains easy to use in meetings, lectures, and brainstorming sessions. The goal is to let people listen, think, and write without constantly checking a screen.

According to Flowtica co-founder Zac Zuo, the product is built for face-to-face conversations inside a room. He said the system converts handwritten notes, spoken dialogue, and real-world context into structured summaries, decisions, and action items.

Recording hardware built into an everyday pen

As a pen, Flowtica Scribe can be used on any sheet of paper. At the same time, the microphone inside the body captures audio from the surrounding area.

The microphone range is claimed to reach five meters, and the recordings are stored on 32GB of internal storage. Flowtica says the pen can record continuously for about 30 hours, while use with the charging case extends total recording time to 1,000 hours.

A physical FlowMark button is included so users can mark important moments during a conversation and find them more easily later. The retail version also adds adaptive AI-based voice pickup, plus 20 new gel refills with 0.5 mm or 0.7 mm tip options.

AI features for follow-up work

Once recording is finished, the companion app becomes the main selling point. It can automatically generate summaries, task lists, follow-up points, and a record of decisions made during the meeting.

Replays can also be searched by topic or speaker, and the software supports 39 languages. Flowtica says the system can recognize up to 15 different voices, which is especially useful in group meetings where several people speak in one session.

The companion app is available on Android and iOS. On Android, audio can move smoothly to the phone while the app runs in the background.

Retail updates, pricing, and subscriptions

The retail model follows a successful Kickstarter campaign and adds several improvements over the first version shown there. Those updates include a charging case with Apple Find My support, along with Satin Gunmetal and Silver Grey color options.

Flowtica is offering two versions of Scribe. The Standard version costs $159 and includes the pen, refills, and a charging cable.

The Complete Set is priced at $209. It adds the special charging case and three months of Premium access.

AI features are also tied to a subscription plan. The free tier includes 300 minutes of AI processing per month, while the first paid plan costs $15 per month for 1,200 minutes.

The top plan is priced at $30 per month for unlimited minutes. That structure keeps the basic functions available without a monthly fee, although heavy meeting and lecture users may rely more on the paid tiers.

Where it fits in the market

Flowtica Scribe stands out because it does not look like a dedicated recorder. It presents itself as an ordinary pen while carrying capabilities that are more often found in separate AI productivity devices.

For users who want to take handwritten notes and still keep a digital archive of the full conversation, that combination may be the main draw. Flowtica is selling the product through its own online store and on Amazon.
