Samsung’s next affordable Galaxy A-series model is starting to take shape, and the biggest change appears on the front. Leaked renders of the Galaxy A27 point to a move from a notch to a pinhole camera, giving the phone a cleaner and more modern look.
The design update does not appear to be radical, but it may be enough to make the device feel noticeably fresher in daily use. For buyers who want a Samsung phone with a current-looking display without stepping up to a premium tier, that front-side change could matter more than expected.
A modest redesign with a clearer visual impact
Compared with the Galaxy A26, the most visible update is the selfie camera placement. The A26 still uses a notch, while the Galaxy A27 is shown with a centered pinhole that leaves the screen less interrupted.
That shift is small in engineering terms, yet it changes the overall impression of the phone when the display is on. In the budget segment, subtle refinements like this can help a device feel closer to current midrange and flagship styling.
The rear panel is said to remain very similar to the previous model. Samsung appears to be keeping the core design language intact, while making only slight adjustments to the rear camera layout.

Battery capacity remains unchanged
The leaked marketing material also indicates that the battery will stay at 5,000mAh. That matches the Galaxy A26 and signals that Samsung may be keeping one of its most familiar formulae in place.

That combination raises the possibility that Samsung may be extending AI-related features further down its lineup. If that direction proves accurate, the Galaxy A27 could become one of the company’s more affordable phones to borrow language and tools usually associated with higher-end Galaxy models.
