5,000 mAh, AI, and Toughness, itel’s Two New Entry Phones Split Their Priorities

itel has introduced two entry-level phones that aim to stand out in different ways. The City 200 leans on a 120Hz display and a 50MP camera, while the A200 focuses more on endurance, AI-assisted imaging, and ruggedness for daily use.

Both models share a 5,000 mAh battery and the Unisoc T7250 chipset, making them modest devices built for everyday communication, entertainment, and light use. That common foundation leaves the main differences in display quality, camera hardware, and extra features.

itel City 200 puts the spotlight on display smoothness and a stronger camera setup

The City 200 comes with a 6.78-inch screen and a 120Hz refresh rate. That combination is meant to deliver a smoother feel when scrolling through social media, streaming video, or moving through daily apps.

Its camera package is the more ambitious of the two. The rear camera uses a 50MP sensor, a major step up from the 13MP unit found on the previous generation.

On the front, the phone carries an 8MP selfie camera with AI Auto Zoom Selfies. The feature is designed to help selfies look more polished without much manual adjustment.

Thin design, practical extras, and serious durability claims

itel gives the City 200 a Metallic Deco unibody design with a slim 7.45 mm body. The aim is to keep the phone comfortable to hold while still making it feel more refined than a basic budget handset.

The device also carries IP65 certification, which means it is built to handle dust and water spray. In addition, the MIL-STD-810H certification is meant to support the claim that it can keep working after repeated impacts.

For convenience features, the City 200 includes NFC for e-money balance checks and digital transactions. It also adds an IR Blaster, letting the phone act as a remote control for various electronic devices.

Another notable feature is UltraLink Free Call, which itel says can enable voice calls without cellular signal over distances of up to two kilometers. That gives the City 200 a more unusual set of tools than many phones in the same category.

itel A200 keeps things simpler but still adds useful protection

The A200 is positioned as the more straightforward option. It uses the same Unisoc T7250 chipset, but its main appeal is centered on long battery life, basic camera use, and practical durability features.

Its 5,000 mAh battery is paired with 15W charging, a setup intended to keep the phone running for longer periods without frequent trips to the charger. The phone also supports UltraLink, extending communication options when cellular networks are unavailable.

Like the City 200, the A200 includes IP65 protection and MIL-STD-810H certification. itel says the phone is tested to withstand drops of up to 1.8 meters, while its display adds Wet and Oily Touch Control so the screen remains responsive even with wet or greasy hands.

AI camera tools define the A200’s imaging angle

In photography, the A200 uses a 13MP main camera that can record video at up to 2K resolution at 30fps. That does not match the City 200 on raw resolution, but it gives the phone a practical video capability for a device in this segment.

The A200’s AI Fusion Camera System is meant to improve photos across different lighting conditions. On the other side, the City 200 pushes harder on camera numbers with its 50MP rear camera and 8MP front camera with AI Auto Zoom Selfies.

Both phones show how itel is trying to separate two entry-level formulas rather than offering one identical budget model. The City 200 is the more feature-packed choice for screen and camera priorities, while the A200 is built for users who value endurance, touch response, and added toughness.
