Casio has opened preorder in Japan for two new colorways of the A130 digital watch, and the appeal is not limited to the price. The WE-3AJF in green and the WE-9AJF in cream push the retro line in a direction that looks noticeably different from the brand’s more familiar finishes.
Both models are priced at ¥8,800 and are scheduled to launch in July 2026. For buyers drawn to Casio’s classic digital styling, the new pair offers an inexpensive entry point without changing the core formula of the A130.
What changes most is the look
The A130 keeps its LC-analog-inspired design, combining a digital display with an analog-style dial and a small LCD window. That format continues to define the model, which leans on the visual language of 1980s-era watches rather than modern smartwatch styling.
The new versions retain the familiar square resin case and stainless steel bracelet, but the color choices are the main departure. The WE-3AJF uses green accents, while the WE-9AJF opts for a cream or off-white finish.
| Model | Color | Price | Launch Timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| WE-3AJF | Green | ¥8,800 | July 2026 |
| WE-9AJF | Cream / Off-White | ¥8,800 | July 2026 |
Casio also gives the case a metallic finish instead of the black or gold treatment used on some earlier A130 releases. That choice makes the two new variants feel more neutral and easier to pair with everyday casual outfits.
Size, weight, and bracelet details remain compact
The watch measures 40.5 x 33.9 x 9 mm and weighs 54 grams. Its stainless steel bracelet uses a Nakadome-style free-adjust clasp and fits wrists from 150 to 205 mm.
The overall build remains modest and straightforward, which matches the A130’s position as an affordable retro watch rather than a premium fashion piece. Casio continues to keep the material mix simple, including a plastic crystal on top.
Features stay the same as before
Functionally, the new colorways do not add any major changes. Casio still includes world time for 48 cities across 31 time zones plus UTC, a four-city multi-time display, a 1/100-second stopwatch with split timing, and a 24-hour countdown timer.
There are also five programmable alarms, a full auto calendar, and amber LED backlight with adjustable afterglow. Accuracy is rated at ±30 seconds per month, while battery life is estimated at about three years.
Water resistance is limited to everyday use, so the model is not presented with a specific depth rating. That keeps the focus on the A130’s retro appeal and practical daily wear rather than sport-oriented durability.
Preorders are already available through Casio’s online store in Japan, but there is no confirmation yet on broader global availability or pricing outside Japan. For now, the two new finishes mainly expand the A130 range for buyers who want a classic look at a low entry price.
