OnePlus has introduced the N6 in India as a new entry-level phone positioned below the Nord line, and its biggest talking point is difficult to ignore. The device brings an 8,000mAh battery, a capacity rarely seen in this price segment.
That endurance story is paired with a 120Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset, and OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. OnePlus is clearly aiming at buyers who want long battery life, practical daily performance, and a set of AI features without moving into a much higher price range.
Pricing and launch details
In India, the OnePlus N6 starts at ₹22,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version is priced at ₹24,999.
Two color options are available: Fresh Mint and Midnight Black. Open sales begin on 4 July through Amazon India, the OnePlus online store, and official offline retail partners.

During the launch period, buyers can get an instant bank discount of ₹2,000. OnePlus is also offering an additional Prime Day discount of ₹1,000, which lowers the effective starting price to ₹19,999.
The early sales package also includes no-cost EMI options, giving the phone a more flexible payment structure for shoppers who prefer installments.
Battery is the headline feature
The 8,000mAh battery is the main reason the N6 stands out, and OnePlus pairs it with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging. The phone also supports bypass charging and 5W reverse wired charging.
According to OnePlus, the battery can last up to three days under normal use. The company also says battery health can remain at 80 percent after seven years and that the cell is rated for 1,600 charge cycles.
Protection measures are built into the battery system as well. OnePlus says the phone includes safeguards against overheating, overcharging, accidental impact, and extreme temperatures.
Display, chipset, and software
The OnePlus N6 uses a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness is rated at 1,200 nits, which helps the screen remain usable in brighter conditions.
Inside, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex built on a 4nm process. Graphics are handled by the ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, while the software side is covered by OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16.
Memory and storage configurations go up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.0 storage. OnePlus also includes a 5,300mm² vapour chamber cooling system to help keep temperatures stable during longer use.
Cameras, AI tools, and durability
On the back, the phone carries a dual-camera setup made up of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The front camera is an 8MP unit for selfies and video calls.
The camera software includes Night Mode, Portrait, Panorama, Time-Lapse, Slow Motion, Motion Photos, and Dual-View Video. These are typical conveniences for an entry-level device, but they help the N6 cover a wide range of everyday shooting needs.
OnePlus has also added a set of AI features for photos and productivity. The list includes AI Eraser, AI Unblur, AI Ultra Clarity, AI Perfect Shot, AI Portrait Glow, AI Notes, AI Document Scanner, and Google Gemini integration.
There is also AI-based battery optimization designed to improve charging behavior and support long-term battery health. That fits the broader focus of the phone, which is to stretch usable life rather than chase headline-grabbing premium specs.
Even with the large battery, the OnePlus N6 measures 8.8mm thick and weighs about 208 grams. The combination is notable because the battery capacity is far above what is typical for phones in this class.
For added durability, the phone carries an IP65 rating and MIL-STD-810H certification. OnePlus also lists ArmorShell Protection, a reinforced aluminum frame, hardened glass, and airbag-style corner cushioning.
Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Connectivity support includes 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi‑Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C, OTG, and dual SIM support.
That combination makes the N6 less about chasing raw benchmark bragging rights and more about delivering a practical package that lasts. In a crowded budget market, OnePlus is leaning on battery life, durability, and a fuller feature set to make the phone stand apart.
