Asus NUC 16 Pro Prices Stretch Sharply, The Cheapest Model Is Still Not Truly Cheap

Asus has finally opened pricing for the NUC 16 Pro in Europe, and the spread is striking. The lineup begins at €631 for a barebone Core Ultra 5 model and climbs all the way to €2,542 for a fully equipped Core Ultra X9 system.

That range makes the compact Copilot+ PC easier to read in market terms, but not necessarily easier to buy. Asus is clearly positioning the NUC 16 Pro as a mini PC family that can start modestly and move into premium territory very quickly.

Eight models, but not for everyone yet

The European rollout is still limited, with availability currently reported for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Asus has not opened every configuration across the continent, so buyers in other markets may still have to wait.

The announced range covers eight SKUs split between barebone and full system options. Barebone units still require RAM, storage, and in some cases an operating system, which helps explain why the entry price can look attractive at first glance.

From entry-level barebone to premium full system

The lowest-priced option uses the Core Ultra 5 325 in barebone form, so the final cost still depends on the memory and storage selected by the buyer. That means the apparent entry point is only part of the total bill for anyone building the system from scratch.

At the other end, Asus offers a complete configuration built around the Core Ultra X9 378H. It includes 32GB LPDDR5, a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, Arc B390 graphics, and Windows 11 Pro Copilot+ PC support.

There are several steps in between for users who need more than the base model but do not want the top-tier package. The lineup also includes Core Ultra 7 356H and Core Ultra 7 366H vPro variants, plus Core Ultra X7 358H models with Arc B390 graphics and 32GB LPDDR5-5600.

Rollout remains uneven outside Europe

Asus first introduced the NUC 16 Pro at CES, but the release pattern has remained gradual. In North America, the series has started appearing through retailers such as Newegg around the end of the first quarter and the beginning of the second quarter of 2026, although not every SKU has shown up at once.

Asus has not announced a full launch date for the complete lineup in the US or Canada. Some models can already be found on Amazon US, including the basic barebone version and the highest-end configuration.

That makes the European pricing announcement useful, but not yet final in practical terms. The NUC 16 Pro is moving into more markets, yet its availability still depends heavily on country and SKU.
