Swiss Stage Raises the Stakes for LCP Split 3 2026, Worlds Race Gets Tighter

LCP Split 3 2026 will close out the League of Legends season in the Pacific region with more than just a title on the line. The final split after MSI 2026 also carries the decisive push toward Worlds 2026, making every result matter far beyond the regular season.

The new format is designed to make that pressure visible from the opening week. With the Swiss Stage feeding into playoff seeding and Championship Points, teams no longer compete only for survival in the bracket. They also fight for a better route to the season-ending championship race.

Schedule and opening matchups

The tournament runs from 25 July to 30 August 2026, with matches starting daily at 16.00 WIB. It is organized with VNGGames, Carry International, PlayBrain, and Invate.

Stage Dates Format Notes

LCP Finals Weekend 29-30 August 2026 Playoffs Held at Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium, Taiwan
Promotion Series 10-13 November 2026 Promotion and relegation Includes Guest Team and domestic league teams

In the opening week, four teams from the Split 2 Knockout Stage will be matched against four others. The first listed pairings are GZ vs MVK, SHG vs TSW, DFM vs GAM, and CFO vs DCG.

Why the Swiss Stage changes the regular season

Swiss Stage replaces the old regular-season pattern with a system that groups teams by similar win-loss records. Rematches are avoided whenever possible, which keeps the early rounds from becoming repetitive.

The format also mixes BO3 and BO5 series. Most matches use best-of-three, while the games that decide whether a team reaches three wins or three losses switch to best-of-five.

Seeding matches and Championship Points

After Swiss Stage ends, every team enters Seeding Matches to determine playoff seeding. All matches in this phase are BO5, so the outcome directly shapes the road into the bracket.

Teams that win Seeding Matches gain an advantage in selecting their playoff opponents, while teams with matching records are placed according to Swiss results. Championship Points are also awarded from Swiss Stage, with 3-0 earning 50 points, 3-1 earning 40, 3-2 earning 30, 2-3 earning 15, 1-3 earning 3, and 0-3 earning 0.

Playoff path and the route to Worlds

The eight best teams advance to a double-elimination playoff, and every series in that bracket is BO5 through the Grand Final. That structure leaves little room for recovery once a team falls behind.

The team with the most Championship Points at the end of the season qualifies for Worlds 2026. If two or more teams finish level on points, final placement in Split 3 Playoffs is used first, followed by Swiss Stage results if a tie still remains.

Taipei hosts the finale and tickets open in phases

LCP Finals Weekend will take place at Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium in Taiwan on 29-30 August 2026. Tickets are available through KKTIX or FamilyMart stores in Taiwan, with sales opening every Tuesday at 12.00 GMT+8, one week before each weekend of matches.

Each ticket covers all matches scheduled for that day. Fans can also watch the full split through the official Twitch and YouTube LCP Pacific channels, while schedule updates, results, and ticket information are shared through the league’s official social media accounts.
