Motorola Razr Fold has recorded a score of 164 in the DXOMARK ranking, placing it as the best camera foldable phone in the assessment cited. The result puts camera performance at the centre of attention for Motorola’s first large-screen foldable device.
The phone relies on three 50 MP rear cameras, each assigned to a different shooting task. Its imaging setup is supported by AI-based processing features designed for portraits, moving subjects, and photo enhancement.
Three 50 MP Rear Cameras
The main camera uses a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 828 sensor with an f/1.6 aperture. It includes autofocus and optical image stabilization, or OIS, to help maintain image stability.
A 50 MP ultrawide camera provides a 122-degree field of view. This module also supports autofocus and can be used for close-up photography through macro mode.
For magnification, Motorola uses a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera built around the Sony LYTIA 600 sensor. It offers 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.
| Camera | Sensor/Resolution | Key Features |
|---|---|---|
| Main | Sony LYTIA 828, 50 MP | f/1.6, autofocus, OIS |

| Periscope telephoto | Sony LYTIA 600, 50 MP | 3x optical zoom, up to 100x digital zoom |
According to Sumeks, the rear-camera combination is a key strength of the device. Razr Fold also carries a 32 MP internal camera and a 20 MP camera on its cover display.
8K Recording and Dolby Vision
The main camera can record video at up to 8K resolution at 30 fps. The phone also supports 4K video at 60 fps and 4K slow-motion video at 120 fps.
Dolby Vision recording is available through the main and periscope telephoto cameras. Motorola also includes Zero Shutter Lag to help capture moving subjects.
Its AI-powered tools include AI-powered Portrait, AI Action Shot, and AI Photo Enhancement Engine. AI Action Shot is intended for fast-moving subjects, while the enhancement engine processes detail, colour, and lighting.
Large Displays and Flagship Hardware
The main display measures 8.1 inches and uses an LTPO 2K panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It reaches peak brightness of up to 6,200 nits and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
The 6.6-inch cover display has a resolution of 2,520 x 1,080 pixels and a 165 Hz refresh rate. Its peak brightness reaches 6,000 nits, with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ also supported.
