DJI has expanded its pocket-sized content camera lineup in Indonesia with the arrival of Osmo Pocket 4, a gimbal camera designed for creators who want stronger imaging performance without moving to a larger kit. The new model keeps the compact form factor that defines the series, while adding features that are normally associated with more advanced devices.
The device is aimed at users who need a practical camera for video and photo production, but still expect serious output quality. In a market that increasingly values mobility and ease of use, Osmo Pocket 4 positions itself as a small tool with a more ambitious feature set.
A larger sensor for more serious image capture
The biggest upgrade on Osmo Pocket 4 is its 1-inch CMOS sensor. DJI pairs it with an f/2.0 aperture and up to 14 stops of dynamic range, a combination intended to preserve detail in both bright and dark areas.
That imaging setup is meant to help the camera produce sharper results, especially when lighting is less than ideal. It also gives the device a wider creative range while keeping the body compact enough to fit in a pocket.
For post-production, the camera supports 10-bit D-Log color profiles. This gives creators more room when adjusting color and is useful for users who want more flexibility during editing.
Slow-motion video gets a major boost
Osmo Pocket 4 also stands out for its ability to record video at up to 4K 240fps. That high frame rate allows for smoother slow-motion playback and gives creators more options for different content styles.
From casual vlogging to more cinematic visuals, the feature makes the camera more adaptable in situations where motion needs to be captured with precision. On a device this small, the specification is especially notable because it reduces the need to carry a larger camera for high-frame-rate shooting.
Stabilization remains central to the Pocket concept
As a gimbal camera, Osmo Pocket 4 continues to rely on three-axis stabilization. The system is designed to keep footage steady when the camera is used while walking or moving.
This makes the device practical for vlogging and livestreaming, where stable recording is important and external support equipment may not always be convenient. The result is footage that is easier to watch because camera shake is reduced more effectively.
DJI also includes ActiveTrack 7.0, which helps the camera follow a subject automatically. That can keep framing consistent without requiring constant manual adjustment from the user.
AI tools make operation more flexible
Beyond the optical and stabilization improvements, DJI adds several AI-based features to the camera. These include Intelligent AutoFocus, Subject Lock Tracking, and Gesture Control, allowing the camera to respond more easily to different shooting situations.
Such tools are useful for users who are not used to managing cameras manually. At the same time, DJI still provides creative options such as Film Tone and Slow Shutter Video, giving the device room for more varied visual styles.
That combination makes the camera suitable not only for stable recordings, but also for content that needs a more artistic look. It gives creators a smaller device without removing creative control.
Compact body, practical controls, and built-in storage
Even with the added features, Osmo Pocket 4 keeps the pocket-friendly design that has become the series’ main appeal. Users can begin recording by rotating the screen, while a 5D joystick offers more precise control.
The camera also comes with 107GB of internal storage, which is useful for creators who want to record more before relying on a memory card. For daily use, the fast charging support adds another practical advantage, with the battery claimed to reach 80% in around 18 minutes.
Those features make the camera more convenient for creators who move between locations frequently. The package is built around efficiency, quality, and easy operation in a compact shape.
Pre-order details and available bundles
DJI opened pre-orders for Osmo Pocket 4 on 16–29 April 2026, with availability starting 30 April 2026. The camera is offered in two packages: the Standard Combo at Rp8.100.000 and the Creator Combo at Rp10.300.000.
The Creator Combo includes extra accessories for users who want a more complete production setup from the start. With a 1-inch sensor, 4K 240fps recording, three-axis stabilization, and AI features, Osmo Pocket 4 reinforces the role of pocket gimbal cameras as tools that still prioritize image quality.
