OPPO is rolling out a new ColorOS package that puts a seasonal UEFA Champions League watermark feature inside the Photos app, alongside video playback controls and broader system refinements. The update is being distributed gradually, so availability may differ from one device to another during the rollout window.
According to OPPO Community information cited on 16 April 2026, the April 2026 ColorOS update is being released in stages between 8 and 30 April 2026. That timing means some eligible users may receive it sooner, while others may need to wait until the package reaches their device and region.
A seasonal watermark becomes the main attraction
The most visible addition in this update is the UEFA Champions League-themed watermark in Photos. Instead of relying on a separate editing tool, users can place a football-inspired visual element directly on their images through the built-in edit menu.
The process is kept simple inside the Photos app. A user opens a photo, enters the editing options, and selects the available watermark from the menu. The feature is designed to give photos a themed look without adding any extra app step.
There is, however, a clear time limit attached to it. OPPO says the UEFA watermark will only be available until 10 June 2026, following the schedule of the current UEFA Champions League season. That makes the feature more of a limited-run addition than a permanent part of the app.
Device and software requirements matter
Not every eligible device will show the watermark immediately. OPPO requires ColorOS 13.0.1 or later, and the Photos app must be at least version 15.75.0 for the feature to appear.
If the option is missing, OPPO advises updating Photos through App Market. The staged nature of the rollout also means software readiness can vary across devices, even among users who are part of the supported group.
Video playback gets a practical upgrade
The April 2026 package also changes how video playback works inside Photos. Users can now adjust playback speed directly from the player interface, which removes the need to open a third-party app for basic viewing control.
Four speed options are available: 0.5x, 1.0x, 1.5x, and 2.0x. That gives users more flexibility when reviewing a clip slowly or skipping through familiar sections at a faster pace.
Because the control is built into the player itself, the workflow is shorter and more direct. For users who often rewatch recordings or look for a specific moment in a video, the added speed choices make the process more efficient.
System tuning continues in the background
Beyond the visible features in Photos, OPPO also includes system optimization in this update. The goal is to keep daily usage stable while improving responsiveness, system stability, and the efficiency of built-in apps.
These kinds of adjustments are usually less noticeable at first glance, but they can support smoother everyday use. Actions such as opening apps, moving between menus, and running routine functions are expected to feel more consistent after the update.
Which OPPO devices are included
OPPO says the rollout covers several devices from the Find and Reno lines, spanning flagship and mid-range models that are still within software support. The confirmed models include Find X9, Find X9 Pro, Find X8, Find X8 Pro, and Find N5.
From the Reno series, the update includes Reno 15 5G, Reno 15 Pro 5G, Reno 14 5G, and Reno 14 Pro 5G. Since the distribution is carried out in phases, the exact time the update arrives can still depend on region, system readiness, and the software version already installed on the device.
