Oppo Find X9 Ultra Challenges Galaxy S26 Ultra, 7,050mAh Battery and Dual 200MP Camera Setup

The premium smartphone race is tightening again, with Oppo Find X9 Ultra stepping forward as a direct challenge to Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The comparison is not just about headline specifications, but also about how each device approaches battery life, charging speed, photography, and long-term usability.

For buyers in the ultra-premium segment, the decision now extends beyond raw performance. The two phones take different paths, with Oppo pushing aggressive hardware numbers while Samsung relies on a more established ecosystem and a familiar flagship formula.

Battery capacity becomes a major dividing line

One of the clearest differences appears in battery size. Oppo Find X9 Ultra is equipped with a 7,050mAh silicon-carbon battery, while Galaxy S26 Ultra carries a 5,000mAh unit.

That gap gives Oppo a strong advantage for users who stay active throughout the day. Charging speed also favors Oppo, thanks to 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, compared with Samsung’s 60W wired and 25W wireless support.

Camera hardware tells two different stories

Both devices feature a 200MP main camera, but Oppo takes a more aggressive route in the rest of the setup. It adds a 200MP telephoto camera and a 50MP periscope camera with 10x zoom.

Samsung keeps a more balanced configuration with a 50MP periscope camera offering 5x zoom and a 10MP 3x zoom camera. That approach suggests Galaxy S26 Ultra is still focused on consistency and dependable photo results rather than chasing the highest possible numbers.

The front camera setup also shows a noticeable split. Oppo Find X9 Ultra uses a 50MP selfie camera, while Galaxy S26 Ultra relies on a 12MP front camera.

Shared chipset, different software priorities

At the core, both flagships use Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. That means their raw performance level is expected to sit very close in the premium class.

The user experience, however, does not depend on the chipset alone. Samsung ships One UI 8.5 and promises up to seven years of updates, while Oppo runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

That difference matters for many flagship buyers, since software support and interface consistency often influence how long a phone remains appealing. In this area, Samsung continues to lean on its long-term update strategy.

Samsung still leans on ecosystem strength

Galaxy S26 Ultra keeps several advantages that are hard to ignore. It retains S Pen support, Samsung DeX, and the strength of a more mature Galaxy ecosystem.

Its display also remains a key selling point, with a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED panel that reaches up to 2,600 nits of brightness. Oppo Find X9 Ultra comes with a 6.82-inch AMOLED display and 1,800 nits of brightness.

Durability is another area where Samsung appears more prepared. The phone uses Armor Aluminum with Gorilla Armor 2 protection, while Oppo takes a more experimental design approach.

Pricing adds pressure to the comparison

Oppo Find X9 Ultra starts at around 1,050 dollars or around Rp17.8 million. Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to start at 1,300 dollars or around Rp22 million.

That price gap strengthens Oppo’s position in the market, especially for users who want a massive battery, faster charging, and a more extreme camera package. Samsung remains the stronger option for buyers who value productivity features, broader software support, and a polished flagship experience that has already been proven.
