Samsung Galaxy A57 is drawing attention for a reason that usually belongs to more expensive phones: it delivers a more polished in-hand feel without leaving the mid-range category. With a price range of around Rp7 million to Rp8 million, the device brings several premium-style touches that make its positioning more interesting than a typical Galaxy A model.
One of the biggest upgrades is the flat metal frame. Reports from JagatReview and 91Mobiles note that Samsung uses aluminum for the chassis, a material that is light yet strong and commonly associated with flagship devices. That choice gives the Galaxy A57 a cleaner visual profile and a sturdier feel when held, which helps explain why the phone is being discussed as if it were stepping closer to Samsung’s premium line.
Durability also receives a meaningful boost through IP68 certification, as listed by Samsung Newsroom. The protection rating means the phone is resistant to dust and can survive water exposure at a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. In practice, that places the Galaxy A57 in the same general durability category as models such as the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, rather than the more modest level usually expected from a mid-range handset.
Compared with the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A55, which still rely on IP67, this step upward signals a more serious approach to body protection. Alongside the metal frame, the added certification strengthens the overall impression that Samsung wants the Galaxy A57 to feel more refined and more confident in daily use.
The front design follows the same direction. GSMArena says the Galaxy A57 uses a Super AMOLED Plus panel, which helps reduce bezel thickness and lifts the screen-to-body ratio to around 88.8 percent. That figure is close to the around 90 percent ratio mentioned for the Samsung Galaxy S26, while the Galaxy A56 sits lower at around 87.7 percent.
Samsung also equips the Galaxy A57 with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and back. This glass is typically found on higher-end devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and it adds another layer of premium character to the phone. Many mid-range competitors still use plastic rear panels or more modest glass such as Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, so this material selection gives the Galaxy A57 a stronger position on paper.
Software support is another area where the device looks more ambitious than many rivals. SammyFans reports that the Galaxy A57 will receive updates for up to 6 years, covering both Android system upgrades and security patches. That level of support goes beyond many mid-range phones, which are said to offer about 2 to 5 years of updates.
Taken together, the aluminum frame, IP68 protection, slimmer bezels, Gorilla Glass Victus+, and extended software support create a package that feels more mature than the average mid-range release. At around Rp7 million to Rp8 million, the Galaxy A57 presents itself as a phone that borrows heavily from flagship expectations while staying within reach of a more affordable segment.
