Casio Unveils a Minimalist Metal Analog Watch With Seven Dial Colors

Casio’s next analog watch entry is drawing attention for combining a restrained metal look with an unusually wide range of color options. The model, UTP-1302PD, has surfaced on Casio’s official channels and at European retailers, signaling a release that aims to be simple in form but broad in appeal.

What stands out most is not a single feature, but the way the watch balances its minimalist styling with at least seven dial colors. That approach gives Casio a more flexible product line, aimed at buyers who want an everyday analog watch that still leaves room for personal preference.

A metal-built watch with a clean daily-wear focus

The UTP-1302PD is positioned as an analog three-hand watch with a straightforward layout. It uses baton indices, includes a date window at 3 o’clock, and keeps the dial visually uncluttered so the face remains easy to read.

The watch also leans on metal components to shape its character. Casio pairs an ion-plated case with a stainless steel strap, giving the model a neater and more refined appearance than many basic analog watches that still rely on resin or plastic.

Notebookcheck described the watch as having a “sleek design, with a metal strap and ion-plated casing,” which matches the overall direction visible in the early listings. That design choice places the UTP-1302PD in a category that looks casual enough for everyday use, yet polished enough to work in more formal settings.

The color range is wider than expected

The early product listings show that Casio is preparing multiple dial variants rather than a single conservative launch. On Casio Singapore’s official online store, five versions have already appeared with a “coming soon” status.

Those five listed variants are the UTP-1302PD-1AV with a black dial, UTP-1302PD-2A1V with a dark blue dial, UTP-1302PD-2A2V with a light blue dial, UTP-1302PD-3A1V with a dark green dial, and UTP-1302PD-7AV with a white dial.

Two additional colors have been seen at French retailer David et Philly. Those are the UTP-1302PD-3A2V with a mint green dial and the UTP-1302PD-9AV with a sand yellow dial.

Together, the lineup covers both neutral and softer tones. That range makes the watch more versatile for users who want a subdued option as well as for those who prefer something with a slightly more distinct everyday look.

Key specifications already listed

Several specifications have already appeared in the early product information, and they reinforce the watch’s practical positioning. The UTP-1302PD does not try to compete through advanced features; instead, it focuses on the essentials expected from a daily analog watch.

  1. Type: analog three-hand watch
  2. Indices: baton style
  3. Date display: yes, at 3 o’clock
  4. Accuracy: up to 20 seconds per month
  5. Water resistance: 50 meters
  6. Estimated battery life: three years
  7. Case material: ion-plated
  8. Strap: stainless steel
  9. Case size: 42.0 x 35.0 x 9.1 mm

The dimensions suggest a medium-sized case, while the 9.1 mm thickness helps maintain a slim profile. That combination supports the watch’s minimalist identity and keeps the overall shape compact rather than bulky.

Pricing has appeared, but the launch timing remains open

Casio Singapore has listed the five upcoming versions at S$85 each. They are still marked as “coming soon,” so the exact release date has not been announced there.

In France, David et Philly has listed the two extra variants at €59.90. The retailer also points to a June release in that market, although the timing has not been confirmed by Casio itself.

Notebookcheck has noted that previous launch patterns could mean the model arrives in Japan first in May, but that remains an expectation based on earlier distribution behavior rather than an official statement. For now, the available information shows a watch that is being prepared with a broad color spread, a metal finish, and a simple analog layout designed for everyday wear.
