JNJ Specialist Dental Centre is expanding its specialist dental services in BSD City with a clinic model that places digital workflows and lower waste at the center of care. The new site is designed not only to support clinical precision, but also to reduce the environmental footprint of routine dental operations.
The approach reflects a broader shift in healthcare, where treatment quality is increasingly paired with sustainability. At JNJ, that shift is translated into Green Dentistry practices and a digital system that replaces several conventional, single-use processes.
Digital systems shape the patient flow
At the BSD clinic, digital dentistry forms the backbone of the service model. Founder and Medical Director JNJ Specialist Dental Centre, Dr. drg. Jeddy Sp.KGA, said the facility is equipped with digital scanning, three-dimensional imaging, and data-based treatment planning.
The digital process begins as soon as a patient enters the clinic. It includes data recording, 2D and 3D radiology, intraoral and facial scanning, and high-resolution intraoral documentation, all of which support a more complete diagnosis.
According to Jeddy, this setup also makes it easier for medical teams to explain findings to patients. The records are more detailed and accurate, which helps shape clearer communication before treatment begins.
Green Dentistry to reduce medical waste
The clinic’s operational model is built around Green Dentistry, which pushes dental care toward a more organized digital flow. By reducing reliance on conventional impressions and similar disposable materials, the system helps limit medical waste generated during treatment.
JNJ also manages medical waste according to applicable regulations. That balance is meant to keep safety standards intact while still reducing the environmental impact of daily clinical activity.
Sustainable Lifestyle & Conscious Living Advocate Edita Rianti noted that public concern for environmental responsibility is no longer limited to daily habits. She said sustainability now influences how people choose services, including those in the healthcare sector.
“Not only about lifestyle, but also about how we choose services that are more responsible toward the environment, including in healthcare,” she said.
Precision tools and faster treatment options
Beyond scanning and imaging, the BSD clinic uses microscopes and lasers to support selected procedures. JNJ is also developing a one-day dentistry concept that allows a dental crown to be made in a single visit.
The service lineup goes beyond general care. Patients can also access Clear Aligner Invisalign and advanced implant dentistry, showing how the clinic combines speed, comfort, and precision in one setting.
This integrated approach is intended to give patients a more streamlined experience from examination through treatment. It also supports a clinical style that relies on structured data and advanced tools rather than separate, disconnected steps.
A four-floor design built around patient journey
The BSD facility was planned as a four-floor patient journey, with each level assigned a different function. The layout is meant to make visits more orderly while keeping each stage of care distinct.
The first floor serves as the Experience Floor. It includes a waiting lounge, an award showcase, and an Experience Centre designed to introduce technology and help patients visualize treatment outcomes interactively.
The second floor functions as the VIP Floor, offering private treatment rooms for aesthetic, restorative, and rehabilitation services with a more personal approach. The third floor is the Family Care Floor, which houses pediatric dentistry and family treatment rooms for both children and parents.
The fourth floor is the Clinical Excellence Floor, equipped with CBCT radiology, a sterilization center, and other clinical support facilities. Together, the four levels create a patient flow that starts with consultation and continues through advanced procedures.
Expansion into a growing market
Director of JNJ Specialist Dental Centre Group, Max Suhardiman, said the BSD opening is a strategic move to widen access to specialist dental care in Indonesia. He described BSD as a strong fit for premium, quality-driven services.
“BSD is a rapidly developing area with young families and professionals who have a high awareness of health and quality of life,” Max said.
JNJ Specialist Dental Centre has operated for more than 22 years and has built a strong position in Indonesia. It is recorded as the only Diamond Elite Invisalign Provider, handles more than 250 Invisalign cases per year, and is listed among the Top 15 Invisalign Providers in Southeast Asia.
The clinic has also received the Pink Diamond award from Straumann for its volume and high level of trust in implant treatment in Indonesia, reinforcing the positioning of the BSD branch as part of a wider specialist network that is increasingly digital, integrated, and lower in medical waste.
