POCO X8 Pro Max enters the market with a clear pitch for users who want strong gaming performance without giving up a balanced set of everyday features. The device combines a high-end chipset, a 120 Hz AMOLED display, a large battery, and pricing that starts at Rp 6,6 jutaan.
Two storage variants are available for the device. The 12 GB/256 GB model is priced at Rp 6.699.990, while the 12 GB/512 GB version is listed at Rp 7.199.000.
Performance built for demanding use
At the center of POCO X8 Pro Max is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s. The chipset is paired with an octa-core CPU and an Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU, a configuration aimed at handling heavy workloads and high-graphics gaming.
The phone also comes with 12 GB of RAM, which helps maintain stability when multiple applications are open at the same time. For storage, users can choose between 256 GB and 512 GB, giving extra room for large games and media files.
Display designed for smooth movement
Beyond performance, the display is one of the phone’s main highlights. POCO X8 Pro Max uses a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, making scrolling, animations, and on-screen motion feel smoother.
The screen carries a resolution of 1280 x 2772 pixels with a 447 ppi density. That combination is intended to deliver sharper visuals and more detailed content, which supports both gaming and everyday media consumption.
Durable body for active use
POCO also gives attention to durability. The device weighs 218 grams and includes IP68 certification, indicating protection against dust and resistance to water up to 2 meters for 30 minutes.
To help guard the front side, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. This adds another layer of defense against scratches and light impacts during daily use.
Battery and charging remain a major draw
For users who need longer endurance, the 8500 mAh battery stands out as one of the strongest features. The large capacity is especially relevant for gaming sessions that can drain power quickly.
POCO complements that battery with 100 W fast charging, which should help cut down waiting time when the device needs to be refilled. This makes the phone more practical for users who want a quick return to use after charging.
Cameras and extra features round out the package
While gaming is the main focus, the camera system is still part of the overall offering. On the rear, the phone uses a triple-camera setup led by a 50 MP wide main camera and supported by an 8 MP ultrawide camera.
On the front, there is a 20 MP wide selfie camera for self-portraits and video calls. The hardware suggests that the device can still handle general photography needs even though performance remains the priority.
The phone also includes NFC for non-cash transactions and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor placed under the display for convenient security access. It runs Android v16 with HyperOS 3 and is still upgradeable to a newer version, while color choices include Blue, White, and Balck.
