A new leak has put Vivo X Fold6 on the radar as one of the most ambitious foldable phones yet. The rumored combination of a 200 MP main camera, a 7,000 mAh battery, and the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 immediately positions the device as a direct threat in the premium foldable segment.
That mix matters because foldable buyers usually care most about performance, camera quality, and battery life. Vivo appears to be targeting all three at once, which makes X Fold6 look less like a routine update and more like a serious attempt to narrow the gap with the strongest rivals.
Battery capacity takes the spotlight
The most eye-catching part of the leak is the battery. Vivo X Fold6 is said to use a 7,000 mAh battery, a notably large figure for a foldable device.
Digital Chat Station on Weibo also clarified an earlier rumor that suggested a 7,150 mAh unit. According to that leak, Vivo is not moving forward with the larger number, but 7,000 mAh still stands out and is described as roughly 16% more than the battery inside Vivo X Fold5.
That detail is important because battery life remains one of the hardest problems in foldable design. A capacity this large suggests Vivo wants X Fold6 to stay premium and slim while also lasting longer in everyday use.
A more aggressive camera setup
The camera system is another reason the device is drawing attention. Digital Chat Station says Vivo is preparing a 200 MP main camera with a large sensor, paired with a 50 MP ultra-wide camera and a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera.
For selfies and video calls, the phone is said to include two 20 MP cameras. One sits on the front, while the other is placed on the inner display side.
This setup shows that Vivo is still treating foldables as flagship camera devices, not just productivity phones with flexible screens. The presence of a periscope telephoto lens also suggests zoom performance will remain a key selling point.
Dimensity 9500 replaces Qualcomm
Another major shift involves the chipset. Vivo is reportedly moving away from Qualcomm and using the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 instead.
The Dimensity 9500 is a 3 nm chip and has already appeared in Find X9, X300, and their Pro variants. That placement indicates the platform is intended for the high end.
The change is notable because Vivo X Fold5 still uses Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Based on the benchmark mentioned in the leak, the switch to Dimensity 9500 should bring X Fold6 closer to Galaxy Z Fold7 in performance than its predecessor managed.
Display size stays close to the previous model
The screen sizes are said to remain very close to the current generation. Vivo X Fold6 is tipped to feature a 6.51-inch cover display and an 8.02-inch foldable main screen.
That is nearly the same as Vivo X Fold5, which uses a 6.51-inch cover display and an 8.03-inch inner display. Because the main panel is slightly smaller, the new model may end up a little shorter and narrower.
For reference, X Fold5 measures 159.7 x 72.6 mm when closed. When opened, it measures 159.7 x 142.3 mm.
Wireless charging and durability are still part of the package
Beyond the headline specifications, Vivo is also said to keep wireless charging. That remains a useful feature in a foldable that is already trying to balance a large battery with a thin premium design.
The phone is also rumored to retain top-tier water resistance, according to Digital Chat Station. No exact certification level was provided, but the message is clear: Vivo does not want durability to suffer as the hardware becomes more ambitious.
Price and availability are still unknown, and the final design has not been shown. Even so, the leak points to a foldable that is being shaped for 2026 with a stronger focus on camera hardware, endurance, and performance than many rivals in the same class.
