The premium scooter segment in Indonesia has become more crowded again, and Honda is clearly aiming to make the PCX 160 harder to ignore. At IIMS 2026, the All New Honda PCX 160 model 2026 arrived with a larger stance, a TFT digital display on select variants, and a package that directly targets rivals such as the Yamaha NMAX Turbo.

A bigger look with a more premium presence

Honda still uses its Personal Comfort Salon philosophy on the latest PCX 160, but the design now looks more substantial and proportionate. The body lines are more aerodynamic, while chrome accents across several details help the scooter appear more upscale.

The visual update is also supported by four color choices: Phenomenal Blue, Phenomenal Green, Phenomenal Black, and Phenomenal Matte White. Full LED headlamps and taillights remain part of the package, keeping the scooter’s lighting signature sharp and modern.

This direction shows that Honda wants to preserve the PCX identity while widening its appeal. The model now speaks not only to daily users, but also to young riders and urban commuters who want a large scooter with a more luxurious look.

TFT display and RoadSync become the key talking point

The most noticeable change is found in the cockpit area. Honda now offers a 5-inch TFT digital screen on certain variants, giving the dashboard a far more advanced appearance than before.

That screen works with Honda RoadSync, which adds smartphone connectivity. Through the system, riders can access navigation, phone functions, and notifications directly from the scooter.

A USB Type C charger is also included to support daily use. For riders who depend on their smartphones throughout the day, this detail adds practical value without changing the PCX’s familiar comfort-focused character.

The same engine, still aimed at smooth everyday use

Under the new bodywork, Honda keeps the eSP Plus 160 cc engine. The unit has a 156.9 cc displacement, four valves, and liquid cooling.

Its output reaches 11.8 kW, or around 16 PS at 8,500 rpm, with 14.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is still known for its smooth response in city traffic, while eSP Plus technology helps reduce friction to support efficiency.

That combination has long been part of the PCX appeal. Previous generations already built a reputation for comfort in daily commuting and for being suitable on longer rides as well.

Safety and practicality remain part of the package

Honda also keeps several important features on the latest PCX 160. Honda Selectable Torque Control, or HSTC, is available on the ABS and RoadSync variants to help maintain rear-wheel traction on slippery roads.

ABS is still part of the model line as well, helping riders stay in control during sudden braking. These features matter more in daily urban conditions, especially during rainy weather or when the scooter is used for longer-distance travel.

Storage capacity remains one of the PCX 160’s strongest advantages. The 30-liter underseat compartment is large enough to hold a full-face helmet, which keeps the model practical for commuting and routine errands.

Pricing keeps it in the fight with NMAX Turbo

The 2026 Honda PCX 160 is offered in several variants, with prices ranging from Rp32 million to Rp41 million OTR Jakarta. In the 150 to 160 cc premium scooter class, the ABS version is considered competitive against some Yamaha NMAX Turbo trims.

That positioning makes the battle in Indonesia’s premium scooter market even tighter through 2026. With a more elegant design, a 5-inch TFT display, RoadSync connectivity, HSTC, ABS, and a 30-liter storage bay, the latest PCX 160 is built as a strong all-round package for riders who want comfort, technology, and a more upscale look in one scooter.
