Oppo Find X9 Ultra Challenges Premium Rivals With Dual Periscope Cameras and 7050mAh Battery

Oppo’s Find X9 Ultra enters India with a clear message: this is a flagship built to stand out on camera hardware, battery capacity, and overall premium positioning. The combination of a 200-megapixel main sensor, dual periscope telephoto cameras, and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 gives the phone a spec sheet that is hard to ignore.

That mix also shows how aggressively Oppo is targeting buyers who want photography, performance, and endurance in a single device. In a crowded premium market, the Find X9 Ultra is designed to compete not by being subtle, but by packing in features that appeal directly to flagship shoppers.

Dual periscope cameras define the appeal

The biggest talking point is the rear camera system. Oppo pairs the 200-megapixel Sony LYT-901 main camera with OIS and a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 ultra-wide lens, then adds two periscope telephoto cameras on top of that.

One telephoto camera supports 3x optical zoom, while the other reaches 10x optical zoom. That gives the phone more flexibility when shooting distant subjects, and it reduces reliance on digital zoom for longer-range photography.

A 3.2-megapixel multispectral sensor is also part of the rear setup. On the front, Oppo uses a 50-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls, while Hasselblad contributes to color tuning and image processing.

The company also highlights advanced video recording support, including high-resolution capture and tools aimed at creators. That places the Find X9 Ultra squarely in the camp of camera-focused flagships rather than general-purpose premium phones.

A large AMOLED display and top-tier hardware

The Find X9 Ultra comes with a 6.82-inch flat AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution at 3168 x 1440 pixels. It supports an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, and it can reach 144Hz in supported scenarios.

Oppo says the panel also supports Dolby Vision and can hit a peak brightness of 1800 nits. Those numbers suggest a display built to handle both multimedia use and bright outdoor conditions.

Power comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The phone runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16, which serves as the software base for multitasking and Oppo’s built-in features.

Battery capacity stays unusually large for a flagship

One of the more notable parts of the spec sheet is the 7050mAh battery. For a premium phone centered on imaging hardware, that capacity is a major selling point.

Charging support includes 100W wired SuperVOOC and 50W wireless charging. Even with that battery size, the device measures 9.10 mm thick and weighs up to 236 grams depending on the variant.

Oppo also includes an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics. Stereo speakers are part of the package too, along with IR blaster, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1.

The phone also introduces a new Snap Key feature. For durability, the Find X9 Ultra carries both IP68 and IP69 certification, giving it protection that matches its high-end positioning.

India pricing and launch offers

In India, the Find X9 Ultra starts at Rs. 1,69,999 for the 12GB/512GB version. Pre-orders run from May 14 to May 27 through Amazon, Flipkart, and the Oppo Store.

Oppo is also bundling a premium gift box worth Rs. 11,000 for pre-order customers. The package includes the Oppo Enco Air 5 Pro and an official protective case.

Additional launch benefits are part of the offer as well. These include exchange bonuses of up to Rs. 22,000, zero down payment EMI options for up to 24 months, instant cashback on select bank cards and UPI transactions, assured buyback value of up to 60%, a 180-day replacement for hardware defects, three months of Google AI Pro with 5TB cloud storage, and three months of Spotify Premium Standard.

With its dual periscope setup, 200-megapixel main camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and 7050mAh battery, the Find X9 Ultra is positioned as one of Oppo’s most assertive flagship offerings in India. For rivals in the premium segment, that makes this launch difficult to overlook.
