Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 Feels Too Good To Be True, 3.5K 144Hz Display And Stylus Included

Lenovo’s new Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 is shaping up as a strong value pick in the premium midrange tablet segment. It combines a large 13-inch 3.5K display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, and a stylus pen included in the box, which makes it stand out from many rivals that sell accessories separately.

The tablet also targets users who want a device that can handle gaming, productivity, and media consumption in one package. With Android 16 out of the box, fast storage, and a slim metal body, the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 looks designed to challenge more expensive tablets without moving far from its “flagship killer” positioning.

Performance gets a major jump

Lenovo has clearly pushed this model beyond a simple refresh. The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, which should give it a clear advantage in heavy apps and demanding multitasking.

According to the reference, the tablet scores more than 2 million points in AnTuTu testing. It also runs demanding titles such as Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves on High settings at 60 FPS with stable graphics performance and no major throttling.

Large 13-inch screen with a sharp 3.5K panel

The display is another major selling point. Lenovo equips the tablet with a 13-inch LTPS screen that offers a 3.5K resolution of 3504 x 2190 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate.

That combination should appeal to users who want smoother scrolling, sharper text, and a more immersive viewing experience. The panel also supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and TÜV Rheinland certification, while peak brightness reaches 760 nits for outdoor use.

Built for entertainment and portable work

Audio support is equally ambitious, with quad JBL speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos. The reference highlights a strong spatial effect, especially when watching films, which suggests Lenovo is aiming for a mini-theater experience in tablet form.

Despite the large display, the body stays slim at 6.2 mm and weighs 596 grams. The tablet uses a full-metal design and carries an IP52 rating, offering protection against light splashes.

Stylus included, not sold separately

One detail that could attract buyers is the bundled Lenovo Tab Pen Plus. The stylus supports 4,096 pressure levels, palm rejection, and tilt detection, making it useful for sketching, note-taking, and creative work.

That inclusion matters because many competing tablets require a separate stylus purchase. Lenovo also positions the accessory as part of the package rather than an extra cost.

Desktop-style features for productivity

The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 adds practical features for users who want more than entertainment. Through USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, the tablet supports Display Out up to 4K at 60Hz and can switch to a PC Mode when connected to a monitor or a magnetic keyboard case.

That setup gives it a more laptop-like interface for work tasks, presentations, or extended typing sessions. For users who move between mobile and desk use, this flexibility could be one of the device’s strongest advantages.

Android 16 and long-term support

Software also gets a timely update. The tablet runs ZUI 16 based on Android 16 from the start, which places it ahead of many rivals still tied to older versions.

Lenovo says the device will receive two major Android updates and four years of security patches. The interface is described as smoother and ad-free, with AI features such as AI Summary, AI Rewrite, and Sketch-to-Image.

Battery and trade-offs

Power comes from a 10,200 mAh battery, with Lenovo claiming 8 to 10 hours of screen-on time under heavy use. Charging is handled by 45W fast charging, which the reference says can refill the battery in around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

There are also some clear compromises to keep the price competitive. The tablet does not include a fingerprint scanner, so biometric security relies on Face Unlock, and the cameras stay basic with an 8 MP front sensor and a 13 MP rear camera.

The stylus also skips wireless charging and still needs to be charged through USB-C manually. Even so, with a price band around Rp7 million, the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 positions itself as a complete and aggressive tablet package for professionals, creators, and gamers who want premium hardware without paying full flagship prices.
