Xiaomi 17 Max Leak Reveals A Huge 8,000 mAh Battery And Flagship-Class Benchmark Scores

A new Geekbench appearance has put the Xiaomi 17 Max back in the spotlight, and the early numbers already place it firmly in flagship territory. The listing shared by data miner @yabhishekhd on X shows multi-core results above 11,000 points and single-core scores above 3,750 points.

That kind of result suggests Xiaomi is preparing a high-end device with serious headroom for demanding tasks. It also adds weight to the growing expectation that the phone will debut in China on 21 May 2026.

Flagship power at the center

The chipset linked to the Xiaomi 17 Max is Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It uses custom Oryon cores and is built on TSMC’s 3nm process, which places it among the most advanced mobile platforms currently described.

The chip is said to reach a maximum boost clock of 4.61 GHz. For graphics, Xiaomi pairs it with an Adreno 840 iGPU, a combination aimed at handling gaming, multitasking, and heavier visual workloads with more stability.

Memory support also points to a modern flagship setup. The platform is listed with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

A large OLED display with premium features

On the front, the Xiaomi 17 Max is said to use a 6.9-inch flat LTPO OLED panel with 2K resolution. That size places it in the category of very large smartphones, where screen real estate becomes one of the main selling points.

The display is also reported to reach a peak brightness of 3,800 nits. Alongside that, the phone is said to support 3840 Hz PWM dimming, a feature generally used to reduce eye strain during long viewing sessions or low-brightness use.

Protection details are equally ambitious. The screen is said to be covered by Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0, while the handset itself is listed with an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.

Camera hardware and battery capacity stand out

Camera specifications are another major draw. The Xiaomi 17 Max is said to feature a 200MP Samsung HP9 main camera with OIS, giving the phone a clearly high-end imaging focus.

The rear setup does not stop there. The same leak points to a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens, while the front camera is linked to a 32MP sensor.

Power is where the device becomes especially notable. Xiaomi 17 Max is said to carry an 8000 mAh battery, a capacity that is well above what many flagship phones usually offer.

Charging support also appears aggressive. The phone is reported to support 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

What the leak suggests for the final device

Benchmark listings do not always reflect every detail of the retail model, so the numbers should still be treated carefully. Even so, the current picture is clear enough to show Xiaomi’s direction with this device.

The Xiaomi 17 Max appears to be shaped as a large premium phone built around performance, a high-end display, versatile cameras, and unusually strong battery life. With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 6.9-inch LTPO 2K screen, a 200MP main camera, and an 8000 mAh battery, it is already positioned as one of the more closely watched flagship names in Xiaomi’s pipeline.
