OPPO’s next flagship direction is starting to look less certain, but also more ambitious. While Find X10 Pro Max is facing reports that it may not reach mass production, Find X10 Ultra has reportedly moved into engineering sample testing, suggesting a possible reshuffle in the lineup before launch.
That shift matters because it points to a stronger focus on the Ultra tier. In other words, OPPO may be preparing to move its highest-end camera and performance ideas into a model positioned above the rest of the series.
A stronger push toward the Ultra model
Tipster Digital Chat Station says Find X10 Pro Max is likely not continuing to mass production. At the same time, the same leak points to Find X10 Ultra as the model now receiving serious development attention.
That would mark a notable change in strategy for the Find X10 family. Rather than spreading efforts evenly across multiple premium variants, OPPO appears to be narrowing its flagship ambitions around an Ultra-branded device.
Camera hardware is the main focus
The most eye-catching part of the Find X10 Ultra discussion is its camera system. OPPO is said to be testing a 3x periscope telephoto camera with two 200MP sensor options, one measuring 1/1.2 inches and the other 1/1.28 inches.
A larger sensor generally helps with light capture and background separation. On paper, the 1/1.2-inch option looks more promising, although the 1/1.28-inch sensor is still unusually large by current flagship standards.
Still, sensor size is only part of the story. Final image quality will also depend on lens quality, image processing, and OPPO’s tuning, which will shape how the camera performs in real use.
A 200MP main sensor is also being tested
Beyond the telephoto setup, OPPO is also reportedly evaluating a 200MP main camera sensor for Find X10 Ultra. That sensor is said to measure 1/1.12 inches and support LOFIC technology.
LOFIC is intended to expand dynamic range and improve photo performance in high-contrast scenes. If that combination makes it into the finished device, Find X10 Ultra could become one of OPPO’s most aggressive camera flagships yet.
What is still unclear about Find X10 Pro Max
The status of Find X10 Pro Max remains uncertain, especially after the latest rumor about a possible cancellation. Before that, the device had been linked to a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera using a 1/1.28-inch sensor.
OPPO was also said to be weighing two ultra-wide camera options for that model: a 200MP sensor or a smaller 50MP sensor. On the display side, two panel configurations were reportedly under consideration as well, including a flat 6.89-inch 2K LTPO panel and a more compact 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO panel.
MediaTek chips are part of the plan
Performance-wise, the Find X10 family is expected to use next-generation MediaTek chipsets. The top model is rumored to feature Dimensity 9600 Pro, which is said to be built on a 2nm process.
The regular model may use Dimensity 9600, while Dimensity 9500 Plus is mentioned for certain variants. If those chip choices hold, OPPO is clearly aiming for a major step forward in both efficiency and flagship performance.
For now, OPPO has not confirmed the Find X10 series or the possible Ultra model. That keeps both Find X10 Pro Max and Find X10 Ultra in rumor territory, even though the development direction is becoming increasingly visible.
