One UI 8.5 Turns Galaxy F70e Into A Far More Capable Entry-Level Phone

Galaxy F70e is getting a notably larger software update than a routine refresh. One UI 8.5 is now starting to roll out to the entry-level phone, and it brings a wide set of changes that go beyond visual tweaks.

The first wave is arriving in India, where the update is packaged with firmware E076BXXU2BZE3 and weighs nearly 3GB. It also includes the May 2026 security patch, combining new features and security improvements in a single installation.

More control over everyday use

One of the most visible changes comes through the Quick Panel. One UI 8.5 gives users more freedom to arrange this part of the interface, which is often used for fast daily access.

Samsung has also added several small but noticeable visual options. The Camera app now includes three new filters, while extra wallpapers are available for download, along with more font choices for the lock screen clock.

Changes across core Samsung apps

The update is not limited to the system interface. Samsung Internet now features a redesigned New Tab page, and Calculator receives proactive suggestions aimed at making it more convenient to use.

Weather sees one of the more practical updates in the package. The app now has an improved widget and adds a pollen index, while Clock gains a time zone converter and weather effects for the alarm screen.

Productivity tools are also getting attention. Samsung Notes now allows tables to be created directly inside notes, and Reminders adds early alerts so notifications can appear sooner when needed.

Communication, sharing, and daily convenience

Galaxy F70e also gains Direct Voicemail, giving users a more direct way to handle voicemail messages. Smart View becomes easier to use as well, with shortcuts to specific Smart View devices now able to be placed on the home screen.

Samsung Health is part of the broader refresh too. The app now offers more designs for sharing fitness statistics and workout results, adding another layer of polish to routine health tracking.

Security and device management improvements

Device Care has been updated with better battery information display, making that section easier to read at a glance. Samsung also adds Theft Protection, while Auto Blocker can now be temporarily turned off when needed.

That combination makes the first major update for this entry-level phone especially substantial. For Galaxy F70e users in India, the update can be checked through Settings, then Software update, and finally Download and install. Once the file finishes downloading, the installation can be started with Install now and usually takes a few minutes.
