Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra places a stronger emphasis on the foldable display experience, with a redesigned structure intended to make the main-screen crease less noticeable. The book-style device also adopts a Flex Titanium display structure and a magnet-assisted hinge for smoother opening and closing.
The handset carries an 8-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner screen with an anti-reflective layer and peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. Its 6.5-inch FHD+ cover display is protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3.
Both screens support an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate for scrolling, multitasking, and media viewing. When unfolded, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra measures 4.1 mm thick and weighs about 215 grams.

Larger battery without a major size increase
A 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery is one of the most significant hardware changes over the Fold 7, which used a 4,400mAh unit. Samsung says the chemistry allows the larger capacity without making the device substantially bigger.
Wired charging reaches 45W, while wireless charging is rated at 20W. The phone also uses a dual-path charging system that Samsung says improves charging efficiency.
Samsung has updated thermal management to help sustain device performance. The Fold 8 Ultra is positioned as a productivity-focused foldable that remains pocketable despite its large unfolded display.
200MP camera and Snapdragon platform
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy and starts with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Higher configurations extend to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Its rear camera system includes a 200MP main camera with 2x optical zoom, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There are also two 10MP front cameras, one on the cover screen and another on the inner display.
Samsung lists improved HDR for 200MP photos, upgraded low-light capabilities, 8K video recording, and APV encoding among the imaging features. The camera hardware gives the device a broader focus than productivity alone.
| Version | Memory | Storage | Price |
