Built Around Physical Protection
The Nokia 123 Shield carries IP65 certification under the IEC 60529 standard. Its charging port and 3.5 mm audio jack are covered by rubber flaps intended to limit dust and water from entering the phone.
HMD says internal testing found that the handset can remain in a dusty environment for up to eight hours. The company also says it can withstand water sprayed from three metres away for 10 minutes and clean-water immersion at a depth of 10 cm for 30 seconds.
