Vivo S60 Series Promises 7,200mAh Power, Periscope Camera, and a Slim Premium Build

A thin body, a 7,200mAh battery, and a periscope telephoto camera are rarely seen together in one mid-range premium phone. That is why the early Vivo S60 leaks have drawn attention, especially as the series is said to keep a relatively slim profile despite its large power cell.

The Vivo S60 lineup is reportedly being shaped around two different targets. One model is the standard Vivo S60, while the other is the more affordable Vivo S60 Vitality Edition, but both are said to share the same 7,200mAh battery and 90W fast charging support.

Two models, two positions

The split between the two versions appears to be focused more on performance and camera hardware than on battery life. Vivo is said to keep the large battery and fast charging across the lineup, which makes the endurance story one of the strongest points of the series.

The regular model is tipped to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. That places it in the upper mid-range premium segment and suggests enough headroom for gaming, multitasking, and camera processing.

The Vitality Edition, meanwhile, is rumored to move to the MediaTek Dimensity 7500. This choice would create a clearer gap between the main model and the lower-priced version without changing the core battery proposition.

Camera hardware becomes the key divider

The most notable difference in the camera department is expected on the standard Vivo S60. It is said to carry a triple rear setup built around a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

At the front, the same model is also expected to feature a 50MP selfie camera. The Vitality Edition is not expected to bring the periscope telephoto unit, making that feature one of the clearest separators between the two devices.

Premium features packed into a slim frame

Beyond the headline battery and camera specs, the Vivo S60 series is also linked to several premium extras. These include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor, an infrared blaster, and IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance.

The design itself is also described as staying premium rather than bulky. Both models are said to use a flat 6.59-inch display with 1260p resolution, a metal frame, and a glass back.

A “Starry Sea” color variant is also mentioned, with a shimmering texture that blends into the camera module. That detail gives the phone a more distinctive visual identity in a segment where many devices follow similar design patterns.

Why the leak stands out

Large batteries often come with thicker designs, but the Vivo S60 series is said to resist that trade-off. If the details hold, the phones could stand out as unusually capable options for users who want long battery life without giving up a slimmer feel.

The series also continues Vivo’s familiar formula of mixing style with practical features. With a launch in China expected on 29 May, attention is now shifting to the final configuration and how Vivo will position the two models in the market.
