OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro Brings 8,000mAh Power, IP69 Protection, and a Premium Display Edge

OnePlus is leaning hard on endurance for its upcoming Turbo 6X series, and the Turbo 6X Pro is the clearest sign of that strategy. The device has already been confirmed with an 8,000mAh battery, putting battery life at the center of its appeal in the crowded RMB 1,500 segment.

That capacity is only part of the pitch. OnePlus is also framing the Turbo 6X Pro as a smoother software experience than its rivals, which suggests the phone is meant to stand out on more than just battery size alone.

A durability-focused pair

The Turbo 6X Pro is positioned as the more premium model in the lineup, but the standard Turbo 6X also follows the same long-life theme. It carries a 7,000mAh battery, a new 6.72-inch eye-care LCD, and military-grade durability, making the series look especially tuned for users who value reliability in daily use.

Louis Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, confirmed the key details, while pre-orders have already opened through the Oppo Shop. With official posters and TENAA certification data also circulating, the shape of the two phones is becoming increasingly clear ahead of the China launch on June 18.

Where the Pro model pulls ahead

The Turbo 6X Pro is not just bigger in battery capacity. It also comes with a Samsung eye-care 1.5K panel and carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance.

That level of protection places the Pro model in a more aggressive durability category than most mid-range phones. OnePlus appears to be targeting buyers who want a device that can handle harsher conditions without giving up display quality or everyday comfort.

Different chips, same memory options

OnePlus has also confirmed that the two phones do not share the same chipset. The Turbo 6X uses the Dimensity 7360 Super, while the Turbo 6X Pro steps up to the Dimensity 7400 Super.

Memory choices are identical across both models. Buyers will be able to choose between 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB configurations.

Displays set the two models apart

The display hardware is another clear divider. The Turbo 6X uses a 6.72-inch LCD, while the Turbo 6X Pro gets a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution.

That split reinforces the different roles of each model. The standard version leans on practicality and comfort, while the Pro variant pushes toward a more premium viewing experience.

Camera hardware also changes with the tier

TENAA listings have revealed the camera setups for both phones. The Turbo 6X is listed with an 8-megapixel front camera and a dual rear setup made up of a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

The Turbo 6X Pro upgrades that arrangement. It is listed with a 16-megapixel front camera and a rear system combining a 50-megapixel main camera with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor.

Colors and software are already set

Color options have also been exposed through official sales channels. The Turbo 6X will be offered in black, white, and green, while the Turbo 6X Pro will arrive in black and orange.

Both phones will run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 out of the box. That means the Turbo 6X series will launch with the latest software generation already in place when sales begin in China.
