Acer Swift Go 16 Combines 16-Inch OLED and 1.36 Kg Portability, Now With Core Ultra 9 Option

Acer’s latest Swift Go 16 is built around a simple idea: deliver a large-screen laptop without the usual bulk. The global launch puts that approach into focus with a 16-inch display, a starting weight of just 1.36 kg, and hardware options that reach up to Intel Core Ultra 9 386H.

That combination makes the model stand out in the category of thin premium laptops. It is aimed at users who want something easy to carry, but still capable of handling demanding work when needed.

Big screen, lighter body

A 16-inch laptop usually comes with a more noticeable weight penalty, but Acer has kept the Swift Go 16 remarkably light. At 1.36 kg, it is positioned as a device that remains practical for everyday movement and mobile work.

Acer also includes a 70 Wh battery, which supports longer productive use during the day. For users who still rely on number entry, the laptop keeps a numberpad as part of the layout.

Performance steps up with Core Ultra 9

The top configuration is powered by Intel Core Ultra 9 386H, adding a higher-performance option to the Swift Go 16 lineup. Earlier variants were available with Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7, so this new model extends the range upward.

Acer says the Core Ultra 9 386H delivers 40 percent stronger performance than the lower series. That improvement comes from a faster core architecture, including eight Darkmont E-cores that are not present in the Core Ultra 7 variant.

Built for more than basic office work

With that hardware mix, Swift Go 16 is not limited to typing, browsing, or routine productivity. Acer also positions it for light photo and video editing, along with AI-based applications.

Memory options go up to 32 GB of RAM, giving the system more room for multitasking. Storage is also offered in a large SSD configuration, which helps support a more work-focused setup rather than a design-only approach.

OLED remains a key part of the package

The display is one of the main selling points. Acer uses a 16-inch OLED panel with 1200p resolution, a combination that should appeal to users who value strong contrast and accurate color.

The 60 Hz refresh rate is not aimed at chasing the highest numbers in the segment. Even so, the panel specification keeps the machine attractive for multimedia viewing and visual work where image quality matters more than refresh speed.

Pricing and available configurations

Swift Go 16 is already available in Europe and the United States with multiple configuration choices. The entry model uses a Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB SSD, with a starting price of 1.399 euro.

At the top end, Acer pairs the Core Ultra 9 386H with 32 GB of RAM and storage that is twice as large, priced at 2.299 euro. The two configurations show how Acer is stretching the same thin-and-light design toward both mainstream productivity and more demanding use cases.

With its light chassis, OLED panel, 70 Wh battery, and the new Core Ultra 9 option, the Swift Go 16 is positioned as a large-screen laptop that still keeps portability at the center of the experience. It fits users who need a single machine for daily work, heavier multitasking, and occasional creative tasks.
