Vivo X Fold 6 is drawing attention for a software feature that could matter more than its design refresh: Atomic Workbench. The multitasking system is shown in a new leak as a foldable-first tool built to make the large inner display far more useful.
The biggest claim is simple but striking. According to the video, the interface is designed to run up to five apps at once, with the active app given more screen space to keep the layout readable.

The leaked demonstration points to several working modes inside Atomic Workbench. One of them is a serial mode that supports five apps in a single view, while another is a one-screen four-use mode for running four apps side by side.

Atomic Workbench is said to arrive as part of OriginOS 6 Fold, the software package launching alongside Vivo X Fold 6. Vivo’s earlier teasers have already pointed to a stronger focus on productivity and AI-driven features for foldable devices.

Vivo has already confirmed that X Fold 6 will launch in June, and Huang Tao, Vice President of Product at Vivo, has outlined several additions for the device. Those include the upgraded Atomic Workbench, AI Assistant, dual-device support, and further improvements to on-device AI and AI interaction.
The company’s focus on software gives the X Fold 6 a different kind of appeal in a crowded foldable market. A large display only becomes a real advantage when the operating system can manage windows, gestures, and app activity without turning the screen into clutter.
