The Oppo Reno 16 is drawing closer to a broader launch after a variant believed to be intended for India and global markets surfaced on Geekbench. The listing gives the clearest early look yet at the phone’s likely hardware direction, including its chipset, memory, and software.
What stands out most is the combination of Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, 12GB of RAM, and Android 16. That mix places the Reno 16 in the upper mid-range segment, where buyers typically expect a balance of speed, efficiency, and everyday usability.
What Geekbench reveals
The device appeared under model number CPH2865, a detail first highlighted by tipster Abhishek Yadav. That model is believed to correspond to the India and global versions of the Oppo Reno 16.
Geekbench shows an octa-core processor based on ARMv8 architecture, with a base frequency of 1.84GHz. The listed CPU layout includes one core at 2.80GHz, three cores at 2.40GHz, and four cores at 1.84GHz.
That configuration points to Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a chipset already found in devices such as the Motorola Edge 70, Vivo T4 Pro, and Realme 15 Pro. The benchmark also shows 10.98GB of memory, which is typically marketed as 12GB RAM.

Oppo has already launched the Reno 16 series in China, but the regular model for India has not been officially announced yet. Even so, benchmark appearances like this are often an early sign that regional launch preparations are moving ahead.
