Samsung is positioning the Galaxy A57 5G as a phone that fits the pace of holiday travel without feeling bulky in the hand or pocket. With a 6.9 mm body, AI features, and IP68 protection, the device is aimed at users who want a practical companion for outdoor activity and everyday use.
The strongest appeal is not just its slim profile, but the way Samsung ties that design to travel-friendly software tools. In practice, the phone is meant to help users search, navigate, and edit content more efficiently while moving between destinations.
AI support built for moving around
Samsung includes Awesome Intelligence and the Gemini virtual assistant on the Galaxy A57 5G. Gemini can be summoned through the home button or voice command, reducing the need to type when a user is walking, exploring, or carrying luggage.
One of the highlighted use cases is building a cross-app itinerary automatically. When a user asks for iconic photo spots in Bandung, Gemini can process the request, save it to Samsung Notes, and connect the route map to the intended location.
Circle to Search is also designed for travel situations where visual discovery matters. Users can point the camera or take a screenshot, circle an object, and search for information about buildings, local food, or fashion products.
The system then returns deeper reviews, related articles, and shopping recommendations in real time. That makes the feature useful when users are in tourist areas or unfamiliar locations and want quick answers without switching between too many apps.
Screen visibility remains a key strength
The Galaxy A57 5G uses a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display with FHD+ resolution and a claimed peak brightness of up to 1,900 nits. Samsung says that level is intended to keep the screen readable outdoors, including under stronger sunlight.
When ambient light changes, the AI system adjusts brightness and contrast automatically. This helps with map navigation and short-form video editing, while also preserving accurate color reproduction for content review.
Annisa Maulina, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, said the device combines premium aesthetics with a 6.9 mm thickness and capable AI support. The company frames that combination as a way to support smoother navigation, visual content creation, and screen readability in bright conditions.
Faster edits for cleaner vacation photos
On the imaging side, Galaxy A57 5G includes Edit Suggestion in the built-in gallery. The feature offers a shortcut for making corrections without relying on more complex third-party editing apps.
With Object Eraser, users can remove distractions such as people in the background, unwanted shadows, or reflections on glass. Samsung says the process can be completed in seconds, helping travel photos look cleaner and more polished.
Thin body, long battery life
Despite measuring only 6.9 mm thick, the phone carries a 5,000 mAh battery. Samsung says that capacity can last up to two days, with Super Fast Charging 45W included for faster refills.
Durability is also part of the package through IP68 certification. That protection against water and dust is intended to make the phone safer to use in changing weather or during accidental splashes.
The Galaxy A57 5G is offered in three memory options: 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB. Color choices include Awesome Gray, Awesome Navy, Awesome Icy Blue, and Awesome Lilac.
Samsung has also prepared an exclusive launch offer for the market period from 1 to 17 June 2026. The total benefit is said to reach Rp5.7 million, made up of cashback of up to Rp2.2 million and trade-in value for old devices of up to Rp3.5 million.
Additional financing options include waived administration fees and down payments starting from 0%. The unit can be purchased through Samsung.com/id or at Samsung Store retail outlets in various regions of Indonesia.
