Vivo X500’s 7,500mAh Battery Could Outshine Its Chipset, Notchless Compact Body Stands Out

The Vivo X500 is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing upcoming flagships, not because of its processor alone, but because of how much battery Vivo may pack into a relatively compact body. If the latest leak holds true, the standard model could challenge expectations for endurance in a class where slim designs often force compromises.

According to Digital Chat Station, an engineering unit of the Vivo X500 is currently being tested with a battery of around 7,500mAh. That figure immediately stands out, especially when compared with the X300 line, whose highest capacity reportedly reaches 6,510mAh on the Pro model.

A compact screen with an unusually large battery

The standard Vivo X500 is said to use a flat 6.59-inch display with a centered punch-hole design. That size aligns with earlier leaks and points to a model that keeps a manageable footprint while still pushing endurance far beyond what is common in this segment.

Interestingly, the regular X500 is said to be larger than the X500 Pro, even though the Pro model is expected to be the more compact device in the series. That detail suggests Vivo may be using the standard variant to balance practical handling with a bigger screen and a very large battery.

Chipset choice signals a clear product strategy

Digital Chat Station also says the Vivo X500 will run on the Dimensity 9500, a 3nm chip that is also referred to as DX5. The leak specifically says the model does not use the newer Dimensity 9600, which makes the positioning of the standard version easier to read.

That choice appears to place the X500 slightly below the Pro and Pro Max models in the lineup. In practice, it suggests Vivo may be reserving the more advanced silicon for higher-tier versions while still giving the base model a powerful flagship-grade platform.

The lineup, if accurate, would form a three-step structure. The X500 would serve as the entry point, the X500 Pro would sit in the middle, and the X500 Pro Max would function as the most premium showcase.

Camera hardware looks stronger than a typical base model

The leak also points to a 50MP main camera with a sensor size of roughly 1/1.28 inches. That is a notably large sensor for a standard model and could help the X500 maintain a serious camera profile instead of feeling stripped down.

Vivo is also said to be testing a telephoto periscope camera with a mid-sized sensor. Periscope hardware is usually associated with higher-end devices, so its possible inclusion here makes the standard X500 more interesting than a typical entry-level flagship.

Digital Chat Station adds that the module could be the same 64MP periscope unit being tested for the X500 Pro. Even so, that detail is still unconfirmed and should be treated as an early indication rather than final specification.

How the X500 fits into the wider series

Earlier leaks suggest the X500 Pro will move to a 6.37-inch display and use the Dimensity 9600, along with a 50MP LOFIC main camera and a battery above 7,000mAh. The X500 Pro Max is then expected to go even further with a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO panel, a Dimensity 9600 Pro built on 2nm, a 200MP periscope camera, and an 8,000mAh battery.

Against that backdrop, the standard X500 takes on a more unusual role. It is not just the lower-tier option, because it may pair a larger screen than the Pro with a bigger battery than many rivals, while still keeping a large main camera sensor and telephoto periscope hardware.

For now, the information remains tied to engineering samples, so final details can still shift before launch. Even so, the current picture makes the Vivo X500 look far more compelling than a routine base model, with battery capacity emerging as the biggest talking point ahead of the chipset.
