Realme has expanded its P4 series in India with the launch of the Realme P4R 5G, a mid-range phone that immediately stands out for one reason: its 8,000 mAh battery. In a crowded budget segment, that kind of capacity is difficult to overlook.
The company is positioning the device for users who want long battery life, smoother gaming performance, and AI features for daily use. Realme also says the phone can last up to 12 hours of gaming, 61 hours of calling, and 169 hours of music playback on a single charge.
Built around endurance and gaming
Within the P4 family, the P4R becomes the fifth model after the P4, P4x, P4 Lite, and P4 Power. The “P” in the series stands for “Power,” and the lineup focuses on endurance, gaming comfort, and practical features rather than chasing premium styling.
The P4R’s 8,000 mAh battery is one of the largest in the series, sitting just below the Realme P4 Power, which carries a 10,001 mAh battery. To make that capacity easier to top up, Realme includes 45W fast charging through USB-C.
Display and performance details
The phone uses a 6.8-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution of 1,570 x 720 pixels. While the resolution is modest, the screen supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, which should help motion feel smoother during gaming and everyday scrolling.
Realme also lists a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits, while the front is protected by Panda Glass. Inside, the device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset built on a 6 nm process.
That processor is paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A microSD slot is also included, giving users extra room for games, photos, and videos without relying only on the top storage variant.
Cameras, software, and connectivity
For photography, the Realme P4R carries a 50 MP main camera with autofocus and an 8 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The camera app includes Night Mode, Street Mode, Cinematic Video, Time-lapse, Dual-view Video, Tilt-shift, and Google Lens.
On the software side, the phone runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0. It also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, OTG support, and dual SIM 5G connectivity.
Durability and design touches
Realme has given the P4R a durability push as well. The phone carries an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance, alongside MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification.
The company also says the device has passed a drop test from up to 1.8 meters. At the back, Realme adds an RGB notification light, a small design detail that helps the phone stand apart from many other mid-range models.
Price and color options in India
The Realme P4R is sold in India in three color choices: Silver Glare, Lavender Glare, and Titanium Glare. It is offered in three memory configurations with the following prices:
| Variant | Price |
|---|---|
| 4GB/128GB | 18.999 rupee |
| 6GB/128GB | 20.999 rupee |
| 6GB/256GB | 22.999 rupee |
With its 8,000 mAh battery, 144Hz display, and Dimensity 6300 chipset, the Realme P4R is clearly aimed at buyers who care more about stamina and gaming practicality than premium positioning. Realme has not confirmed whether the phone will also be sold in Indonesia.
