Samsung’s next Fan Edition phone may be closer than expected, with a device believed to be the Galaxy S26 FE showing up on the Wireless Power Consortium website. The listing is one of the clearest signs yet that the company is preparing another affordable flagship-style model.
The appearance matters because the WPC manages the Qi wireless charging standard and only lists certified products on its site. The device image was later replaced with a generic “coming soon” graphic, but the original live shot was still visible through the Wayback Machine and was first spotted by 9to5Google.
A familiar design with only small changes
Based on the leaked image, the Galaxy S26 FE does not look like a major redesign. The overall shape appears very close to the Galaxy S25 FE, although the rear camera module seems to follow the three-lens style associated with the Galaxy S26 family.
The phone is also expected to keep the same broad design language as its predecessor, including a glass-sandwich build, a hole-punch front camera, and an aluminum frame. Similar styling had already surfaced earlier this month in case images believed to belong to the Galaxy S26 FE.
Charging details remain uncertain
The WPC listing suggests a model number of SM-S741, but it does not yet provide a full picture of the charging setup. One detail mentioned in the filing, a Basic Power Profile or BPP rating for 5W charging, appears more like an early test value or placeholder than a final specification.
That caution is important because the Galaxy S25 FE already supported 15W wireless charging and was Qi2-ready, even without built-in magnets. Until Samsung confirms the final hardware, the Galaxy S26 FE’s wireless charging support should be treated as provisional.
Performance upgrades may stay modest
Other leaks point to an Exynos 2500 SoC, Android 17, and at least 8 GB of RAM. If that proves accurate, the new model would follow a familiar pattern of incremental hardware refresh rather than a dramatic platform shift.
That approach would fit the position of the FE line. The current Galaxy S25 FE uses an Exynos 2400 SoC with 8 GB of RAM, so any upgrade may be focused more on refinement than on a complete spec overhaul.
Cost control looks like the bigger story
One of the most notable changes may involve the display supplier. According to The Elec, the Galaxy S26 FE panel is being supplied by China Star Optoelectronics Technology, or CSOT, instead of Samsung Display, which usually handles most OLED panels for Samsung’s midrange and premium phones.
The move is reportedly meant to reduce costs as memory and storage prices continue to rise. If Samsung can keep the pricing strategy intact, the Galaxy S26 FE could launch at $650, matching the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy S24 FE.
For now, the emerging picture is straightforward: Samsung appears to be preparing a new FE model that stays close to the previous design while looking for ways to keep the price in check. With certification evidence now surfacing, the next announcement may not be far away.
