Infinix Smart 20 enters the budget phone segment with a package that looks more complete than its price suggests. In India, the device starts at 12.499 rupee, or around Rp2,3 jutaan.
That positioning matters because the phone does not rely on one standout feature alone. Instead, Infinix combines a 120Hz display, a 5,200 mAh battery, dual-LED flash, stereo speakers with DTS, IP64 protection, and UltraLink offline communication into a single entry-level device.
Display and front design
The Smart 20 uses a 6.78-inch LCD panel, giving it a large viewing area for video, gaming, and everyday use. Its 120Hz refresh rate is one of the main attractions, since it should make scrolling and animations feel smoother than on standard 60Hz screens.
Infinix also claims the panel can reach 700 nits in certain modes, which should help visibility outdoors in brighter conditions. On the front, the 8 MP selfie camera sits inside a punch-hole cutout, while Dynamic Bar is included to make notifications and key information easier to access.
Hardware for daily use
Under the hood, the phone runs on the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate chipset. It is paired with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage, depending on the variant.
There is also virtual RAM support to help with multitasking when several apps are open at once. If more room is needed, the microSD slot supports expansion of up to 2 TB.
Cameras, battery, and practical extras
The rear camera setup is centered on an 8 MP main sensor with an additional sensor beside it. Infinix adds dual-LED flash to improve lighting in low-light scenes, which gives the phone a more distinctive camera setup in this price class.
Power comes from a 5,200 mAh battery, matched with 15W charging for all-day use. The phone also supports 5W reverse wired charging, allowing it to share power with other devices when needed.
For convenience and durability, the Smart 20 includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an infrared sensor, stereo speakers with DTS, and an IP64 rating. It also ships with XOS 16 based on Android 16, giving it one of the more current software setups in its segment.
UltraLink is the feature that separates it
The most unusual addition is UltraLink, Infinix’s offline communication technology. The company says compatible Infinix devices can stay connected at distances of up to about one kilometer without a cellular network.
That gives the Smart 20 a practical edge for users who often deal with weak signals or need another way to stay in touch in limited-network areas. It is a feature rarely seen in phones at this price, and it reinforces the device’s attempt to look beyond the typical budget formula.
For India, Infinix offers two memory versions of the Smart 20. The 4 GB/64 GB model is priced at 12.499 rupee, while the 4 GB/128 GB version costs 13.999 rupee.
The color choices are Sunlike Orange, Cloudline Blue, Shadow Black, and Polaris Titanium. With its mix of a 120Hz display, large battery, and dual-LED flash, the Smart 20 is positioned as one of the more distinctive options in the Rp2 jutaan range.
