Realme users are beginning to track the next major Android upgrade as Google moves closer to a stable release of Android 17. For many devices, the update is expected to arrive through Realme UI 8.0, adding Realme-specific features on top of the core Android changes.
The most important question is which phones may actually qualify. Realme has not issued an official list of devices for Realme UI 8.0 yet, but the eligible models can already be estimated from each phone’s update policy.
Flagship and mainstream models in the frame
The strongest candidates come from Realme’s GT lineup, which usually sits near the front of the brand’s software support cycle. Models believed to be eligible include the Realme GT 8 Pro, Realme GT 7, Realme GT 7 Pro, Realme GT 7 Pro Racing, Realme GT 7T, Realme GT 6, Realme GT 6T, and Realme GT 5 Pro.
The number series also appears to have a broad path to Android 17. Devices listed in that group include the Realme 16, Realme 16 Pro, Realme 16 Pro+, Realme 16T, Realme 15, Realme 15 Pro, Realme 15 Lite, Realme 15T, Realme 15x, Realme 14, Realme 14 Pro, Realme 14 Pro+, and Realme 14T.
Other lines still in the software race
Realme’s P series is also represented by a long set of models that may remain inside the major-update window. The phones named are Realme P4, Realme P4 Pro, Realme P4 Lite, Realme P4 Lite 4G, Realme P4 Power 5G, Realme P4R, Realme P4x, Realme P3, Realme P3 Pro, Realme P3 Ultra, and Realme P3x.
Entry-level users are not left out entirely. The C series devices mentioned include Realme C85, Realme C85 4G, Realme 85 Pro, Realme C83, Realme C75, Realme C75x, Realme C73, and Realme C71.
The Narzo family also remains on the watchlist for the Android 17 rollout. Models included are Realme Narzo Power 5G, Realme Narzo 100 Lite, Realme Narzo 90, Realme Narzo 90X, Realme Narzo 80 Lite, Realme Narzo 80 Lite 4G, Realme Narzo 80 Pro, and Realme Narzo 80x.
For the Note series, the current list is shorter. The devices named are Realme Note 80, Realme Note 70, and Realme Note 70T.
Pad series devices are also being monitored for the update, although no specific tablet models have been detailed in the available data.
When the update may arrive
There is still no official announcement for the stable release schedule of Realme UI 8.0. Based on how closely the Android 17 timeline resembles last year’s pattern, the stable rollout is expected around November.
That does not mean every eligible phone will receive the update at the same moment. Like most software rollouts, the release is likely to happen in stages and may vary by device and region.
Beta access remains limited
Users who want early access already have one option: the Android 17 beta program. Realme announced the program at the end of March, but it remains limited to the Realme GT 8 Pro for now.
There has been no official confirmation that the beta will expand to other Realme devices. For owners of other models, the practical choice is still to wait for the stable version if they want to try the new features.
For now, the published device list is best treated as an early eligibility guide rather than a final announcement. Owners of GT, number series, P series, C series, Narzo, and Note models can use it to check whether their phone is likely to stay inside Realme’s next major Android cycle.
