Vivo’s Y500 line is expanding again, and the 4G version is now showing signs of an imminent launch. Its appearance in the Google Play Console supported devices list suggests the phone is moving through the final stages before release.
What makes the listing notable is that it points to a separate 4G model of the Vivo Y500, following the Vivo Y500 5G that arrived in China earlier. That move would give Vivo a wider option for markets where 4G devices still matter more than 5G coverage.
Google Play Console listing points to a near launch
The Google Play Console database now includes Vivo Y500 as a supported device. The listing is widely interpreted as a sign that the company is preparing the phone for release soon.
Several model numbers are associated with the device, including V2570, V2584, V2627, V2634, and V2635. Those multiple entries are believed to reflect different regional variants, although the console listing itself does not reveal the full hardware profile.
Early hardware details are already surfacing
According to The Tech Outlook, the Vivo Y500 4G is expected to use an octa-core Spreadtrum UM9360 chipset, which is identified as the Unisoc T7300. The processor is said to combine six efficiency cores clocked at 2.0GHz with two performance cores reaching 2.2GHz.
The same report says the chip will be paired with an ARM Mali-G57 GPU and 8GB of RAM. Another detail drawing attention is the possibility that the phone will ship with Android 16 out of the box.
If that software detail proves accurate, the Vivo Y500 4G would stand out for arriving with a newer Android version even as a 4G-focused model. That combination could appeal to buyers who want current software without moving to a 5G device.
Display and design stay clean and familiar
The leaked information also points to a display with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels and a pixel density of 440 ppi. Those numbers suggest a sharp screen that should be well suited for everyday use.
Images circulating alongside the leak show a flat display with a centered hole-punch camera cutout. On the right side, the power button and volume keys are visible, while the left edge appears uncluttered.
That design language suggests Vivo is not trying to make the 4G model look radically different. Instead, the phone appears to be taking a straightforward, practical approach that fits the mid-range category.
How it differs from the Vivo Y500 5G
The 4G model also draws interest because it sits beside the already announced Vivo Y500 5G. The 5G version launched in China in September 2025 with a starting price of CNY 1,399 for the 8GB + 128GB variant.
Vivo Y500 5G features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,392 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, comes with up to 12GB of RAM, and carries an 8,200mAh battery.
Against that backdrop, the Vivo Y500 4G appears to be a more modest alternative. The main differences so far are the chipset, the lower top-end memory configuration, and the absence of 5G support.
For Vivo, the strategy seems clear: broaden the Y500 family with a model that can serve users looking for a simpler network option. With the Google Play Console listing now public and early specifications already leaking, the debut of the Vivo Y500 4G looks increasingly close.
