Samsung is preparing a major reset for Samsung Health, and the clearest signal so far is a new AI-led direction that appears designed to work best on its next-generation Galaxy Watch lineup. The company has already released a teaser ahead of VivaTech 2026, giving an early look at a more connected health experience.
The upcoming showcase matters because Samsung has said it will present its vision for AI-based connected care at VivaTech 2026 in Paris. The event is scheduled to run from 17 June to 20 June at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, making it a key stage for the company’s health and wearable strategy.
A broader health platform, not just a tracking app
In the official “VivaTech 2026 Official Trailer” posted on Samsung’s YouTube channel, the company described the material as a clear view of the next chapter in health. The teaser suggests that Samsung is pushing beyond basic tracking and moving toward a more unified experience inside Samsung Health.
That shift is visible in the five pillars Samsung highlighted for the new experience. Those pillars are Sleep, Activity, Nutrition, Mindfulness, and Vitals, which show a wider focus than workouts and sleep logs alone.
The layout also points to a simpler Home screen view. Samsung says users will be able to see different parts of their daily routine at a glance, which suggests a more streamlined interface centered on quick health insight.
New features are coming, but not all at once
Samsung has already confirmed several tools that will arrive in Samsung Health. Vitals is one of the headline additions, designed to help users understand signals from their bodies in a more readable way.
Another important feature is Heart Health Score, which focuses on long-term heart health rather than only day-to-day readings. Samsung is also preparing Daily Cardio Load to show cardiovascular training load, along with Fitness Index for a simpler view of fitness progress.
These additions point to a health platform that is meant to turn raw data into easier-to-read guidance. Samsung appears to be building a system that can surface proactive insights instead of leaving users to interpret numbers on their own.
Galaxy Watch support is the missing piece
There is still one major limitation for users hoping to try the new capabilities immediately. Samsung had earlier said it would push a Samsung Health update on 8 June to bring in key health features, but by 11 June that update had still not appeared.
Even when the app update arrives, the new functions are not expected to be broadly usable right away. Samsung is reportedly lining up initial support for its next-generation Galaxy Watch models instead of opening everything to current devices at once.
The first watches expected to support the new capabilities are the next-gen Galaxy Watch models, including Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2. That means the most advanced health experience from Samsung may depend heavily on its newest wearables.
Reports circulating around the launch window say both watches could be introduced on 22 July 2026. If that timeline proves accurate, the Samsung Health teaser now looks like the opening move in a wider rollout that ties software and hardware together.
