Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge has taken a sharp price cut in India, changing the way this slim flagship is positioned in the market. On Flipkart, the 12GB + 256GB variant is now listed at ₹59,999, down from its launch price of ₹1,09,999.
The drop is large enough to make the device feel far more attainable than it did at launch. Buyers using eligible Axis Bank or SBI Flipkart credit cards can also get an additional ₹3,000 discount, lowering the effective price further.
A slimmer flagship now looks more practical
That pricing shift matters because the Galaxy S25 Edge was originally framed as a premium Samsung flagship with a very high entry point. With the new figure, it moves into a more competitive bracket for shoppers who want a high-end Galaxy without stepping up to the Ultra tier.
The model’s main appeal remains its design. Samsung built the S25 Edge to feel luxurious yet unusually easy to carry, with a body that measures just 5.8 mm thick and weighs around 163 grams.
Those dimensions make it one of the thinnest Galaxy S phones Samsung has ever released. The company also uses a titanium frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection to reinforce the premium positioning.
Big screen, flagship performance
Despite the slim build, the Galaxy S25 Edge still carries a large 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 2K resolution. That combination gives the phone a strong visual identity, especially for users who prefer a large screen without a bulky chassis.
Inside, Samsung equips the device with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. The discounted configuration includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, a setup that remains well suited for demanding everyday use, productivity, and AI-assisted features.
The camera hardware also stays firmly in flagship territory. Samsung gives the phone a 200MP main rear camera alongside a 12MP ultrawide lens, while the front camera uses a 12MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
The trade-off is easier to notice now
Where the phone looks less ambitious is battery capacity. The Galaxy S25 Edge ships with a 3,900mAh battery, which may feel modest for a device with a large display and high-end silicon.
That limitation fits the phone’s ultra-slim identity, since thin designs often require smaller batteries to keep the chassis as compact as possible. For buyers who prioritize minimal thickness and lighter weight, that compromise may be acceptable.
