OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Teased With a Sharper Look, and the Case Gets a Major Reset

OnePlus has started teasing the Nord Buds 4 through social media, and the most noticeable change is the design. The new true wireless earbuds move to an in-ear fit with soft silicone tips, paired with a stemmed body that supports touch controls.

The charging case also looks very different this time. It now uses a rectangular shape with a cleaner finish, replacing the oval style seen on the Nord Buds 3 and giving the lineup a more modern appearance.

A teal color option was also shown in the teaser. That choice gives the product a fresher visual identity, which helps the earbuds stand out in the crowded budget audio segment.

Positioned as the more affordable Nord model

Nord Buds 4 appear to be aimed below the Pro version in OnePlus’ lineup. The company had already launched the Nord Buds 4 Pro in India at a price of ₹3,999, setting a clear reference point for the regular model.

The Pro version comes with a long list of premium features for its class. It includes up to 55dB ANC, 12mm titanium-coated drivers, LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res audio, Bluetooth 6.0, dual-device connection, and battery life of up to 54 hours.

It also adds AI-based call noise reduction and spatial audio. Against that backdrop, the standard Nord Buds 4 is expected to keep a simpler feature set so it can stay competitive on price.

Reports circulating around the launch suggest the Nord Buds 4 could land at around ₹2,999. That figure has not been confirmed by OnePlus, but it points to a strategy focused on keeping the earbuds affordable while still carrying the Nord identity.

What may be trimmed to keep costs down

To protect that lower price point, the regular model may not include every feature found on the Pro variant. Expected compromises include lighter ANC, standard audio codecs instead of a hi-res format, and possibly smaller drivers or slightly shorter battery life.

Even with those likely cuts, the product direction appears consistent with the series. Nord Buds 4 are still expected to emphasize strong bass, reliable call quality, and comfortable everyday use.

Comfort is one of the main strengths of the new design approach. Silicone tips and an in-ear layout usually improve passive isolation and help the earbuds stay secure during movement.

The stemmed design also suggests OnePlus is keeping things practical. This style makes touch controls easier to use and is still common for users who want quick access without opening an app.

Keeping the Nord formula familiar

OnePlus has spent the past few years building a steady reputation in affordable TWS audio. The Nord Buds 3, introduced in 2024, were noted for offering good battery life and a respectable IP rating at a competitive price.

Nord Buds 4 look set to continue that formula, but with a clearer visual refresh. The rectangular case and in-ear shape suggest OnePlus is updating both ergonomics and styling to better match current expectations in the segment.

That approach makes sense in India’s busy audio market. At this price level, buyers usually want a simple mix of comfort, battery life, reliable calling, and sound that works well for daily listening.

The teaser suggests the Nord Buds 4 are being positioned for commuting, light workouts, and casual music playback. OnePlus has not shared full specifications yet, but the design already points to where the product fits in the market.

If the company keeps the pricing and feature balance right, the Nord Buds 4 could become one of the more appealing budget TWS options in the Nord family. For now, the confirmed details are limited to the in-ear design, the new rectangular case, the teal color option, and Amazon India availability at launch.
