Samsung’s One UI 9 is moving closer to the Galaxy A57, and the latest test build suggests the mid-range phone is already in the company’s internal update pipeline. For users of the device, that usually means the wait for a stable release may not be long.

Finding a software build on Samsung’s servers does not mean the update is ready for everyone. It does show that development has reached a stage where the company is preparing the software for multiple regions.
India is among the markets mentioned in the testing context, which suggests Samsung is already thinking beyond a single regional rollout. That kind of early activity often appears before a wider release begins.
What One UI 9 is expected to bring
Samsung first opened One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series last month, marking the start of its Android 17-based interface rollout. The appearance of the Galaxy A57 in testing indicates that Samsung is now widening that effort beyond its flagship phones.
