Infinix has pushed the Smart 20 4G into India’s budget phone segment with a feature set that looks unusually ambitious for its class. The device combines a 120Hz display, a Helio G81 Ultimate chip, and a 5,200mAh battery, putting pressure on rivals in the entry-level market.
The appeal is not limited to raw specifications. Infinix is also adding software features centered on AI, while keeping the pricing within reach of buyers looking for a practical daily phone rather than a stripped-down basic model.
Two storage variants, both aimed at value buyers
For India, the Smart 20 4G starts at Rs 12,499 for the 4 GB + 64 GB model. The 4 GB + 128 GB version is priced at Rs 13,999.
Pre-orders are already open through the Infinix India website and Flipkart, with first sales scheduled to begin on 12 June 2026 at 12:00 PM IST.
A display and battery combination that stands out
The phone carries a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness rated at 700 nits. That combination is designed to make everyday use feel smoother on a large screen.
Infinix has also kept the body relatively slim at 7.7 mm, while adding an IP64 rating for better protection against dust and splashes.
Battery life is another major selling point. The Smart 20 4G uses a 5,200mAh cell with 15W fast charging over USB-C, plus 5W reverse wired charging for topping up accessories or another device in a pinch.
Helio G81 Ultimate runs the hardware
Performance is handled by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate, paired with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and storage options of up to 128 GB. The hardware is modest on paper, but it is positioned to suit the phone’s pricing.
The software side is more aggressive. Infinix ships the device with XOS 16 based on Android 16, along with the Folax AI voice assistant and a dedicated AI button.
It also includes Ultra Link No SIM calling and Smart AI Voice Reduction, two features that are meant to improve communication in everyday use.
Familiar design, simple cameras, broad color options
Visually, the Smart 20 4G follows a familiar Infinix design language with a large rear camera deco stretching from edge to edge. The layout is similar in spirit to the Infinix Note 60 Pro, although this model does not include a secondary display.
Color options include Sunlike Orange, Cloudline Blue, Shadow Black, and Polaris Titanium.
Camera hardware remains straightforward, with an 8 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. That setup keeps the focus on basic photography rather than trying to compete with mid-range imaging systems.
Everyday features round out the package
Infinix has added a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a single bottom-firing speaker, dual SIM 4G support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, an infrared sensor, and a USB-C 2.0 port.
Those details may not sound dramatic individually, but together they make the Smart 20 4G look like a well-rounded budget option. In a crowded segment, the mix of a 120Hz screen, a 5,200mAh battery, and IP64 protection gives the phone a clearer identity than many entry-level rivals.
With pre-orders already live and sales set to start on 12 June 2026, the Smart 20 4G is arriving with a spec sheet built to catch attention before price-sensitive buyers even compare the rest of the market.
