DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Brings Dual Cameras, and 12x Zoom Changes the Game for Creators

DJI has launched the Osmo Pocket 4P in China, and the biggest shift is not the familiar gimbal body. It is the move to a dual-camera setup that gives the pocket-sized camera a far wider shooting range than previous models.

The new model keeps the compact form factor that made the Osmo Pocket line popular for quick vlogging and mobile content creation. But with a telephoto camera added to the mix, DJI is now aiming at creators who want more options for portraits and distant subjects without carrying larger gear.

Two cameras, two different shooting roles

The main camera uses a 1-inch sensor with an f/2.0 lens and a 20 mm equivalent focal length. DJI says it also uses LOFIC technology, which is designed to capture up to 17 stops of dynamic range so bright and dark areas stay more detailed.

Alongside it sits a new telephoto camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor. That camera has an f/1.8 aperture, a 60 mm equivalent focal length, 3x optical zoom, and digital zoom that goes up to 12x.

This is the key jump for the series, because earlier generations topped out at 4x. The extra reach should make the camera more useful for portrait framing and for recording subjects from farther away while still staying in a small body.

Video tools built for fast production

On the video side, the Osmo Pocket 4P records up to 4K at 60 fps for general use. It also supports 4K at 240 fps for slow-motion capture.

DJI adds 10-bit color recording and the D-Log 2 color profile, giving creators more room for color grading in post-production. The camera still relies on a mechanical 3-axis gimbal, which remains central to the series’ stabilized shooting experience.

For subject tracking, DJI includes Intelligent Follow 8.0. The system can follow multiple people and also supports zoom tracking up to 12x, allowing the camera to keep a subject in frame while the user makes use of the new magnification range.

There are also real-time beautification features, skin tone adjustments, and six built-in film color presets for quicker ready-to-share output.

Screen, storage, and connectivity

The Osmo Pocket 4P uses a 2-inch touchscreen that can rotate for landscape or horizontal orientation. DJI says the panel reaches up to 1,000 nits of brightness, which helps outdoors.

Audio is handled by three built-in microphones, reducing the need for external accessories in basic shooting setups. Internal storage comes in at 103 GB, and users can expand it further with microSD cards up to 1 TB.

For transfer speed, the device supports USB 3.1 with rates of up to 800 MB per second. It also includes dual-band WiFi 6 and Bluetooth LE 5.4 for wireless connectivity.

Battery life and charging speed

DJI equips the Osmo Pocket 4P with a 1,545 mAh battery rated for up to 210 minutes of use. The company also says charging from 0 to 80 percent takes about 18 minutes, while a full charge takes around 32 minutes.

Price and package options

The Osmo Pocket 4P is currently available only in China, and DJI is offering it in Classic Black and Pearl White. The Standard Kit is priced at 3,799 yuan, while the Vlog Kit costs 4,299 yuan.

The Standard Kit includes the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P, a fill light, a 1/4-inch grip, a storage bag, and a USB-C cable. The Vlog Kit adds a DJI Mic Mini 2, a remote viewfinder, and a mini tripod for creators who want a more complete content-making package.
