Reno 16 Series Opens Pre-Order, Oppo Sets Launch Dates Just Days Apart

Oppo has confirmed that the Reno 16 series will arrive in two Southeast Asian markets within days of each other. Indonesia is scheduled for July 3, followed by Malaysia on July 8.

The company has also opened pre-orders in both countries through its official websites, giving an early look at the model lineup, memory options, storage capacities, and color choices. That early listing suggests Oppo is preparing a tightly segmented release across the region.

Three models are expected in the lineup

The series is set to include the Oppo Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro, and Reno 16F. The first two models already debuted in China on May 25, while the regional rollout is now being formally confirmed.

For buyers in Indonesia and Malaysia, the most notable detail is the inclusion of the Reno 16F alongside the other two phones. Its presence in the pre-order list signals that Oppo is not limiting the regional launch to only the standard and Pro versions.

Memory and color options by model

Each model is being positioned with a different configuration strategy. The Reno 16F appears in two versions, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, and comes in Dream Purple, Pop White, and Twilight Violet.

Model Memory Options Color Options
Oppo Reno 16F 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB Dream Purple, Pop White, Twilight Violet
Oppo Reno 16 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB Pop White, Twilight Violet
Oppo Reno 16 Pro 12GB + 256GB Pop White, Starlight Black

The standard Reno 16 is listed with 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants, available in Pop White and Twilight Violet. The Reno 16 Pro is shown in a single 12GB + 256GB configuration with Pop White and Starlight Black finishes.

That lineup shows a clear divide across the family. The Reno 16F gets the widest color range, while the Reno 16 Pro is presented with the most restrained choice of storage and finish.

Malaysia gets more than just phones

Oppo’s microsite in Malaysia also points to a broader product launch. Alongside the Reno 16 series, the company is preparing to introduce Oppo Bubble as well as the Enco Air 5 and Enco Air 5s.

Oppo Bubble is described as an accessory that can attach to the rear panel of the Reno 16 model. The Enco Air 5 and Enco Air 5s, meanwhile, are true wireless stereo earphones.

This suggests the Malaysian event is being framed as an ecosystem launch rather than a standalone smartphone announcement. Oppo has not yet detailed whether those accessories and audio products will reach other markets at the same time.

Early certification details hint at battery and durability

While Oppo has not disclosed full global specifications, the Reno 16 series recently appeared in the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling, or EPREL. The listing gives the first concrete look at battery capacity and durability-related ratings.

According to the registry, the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro both carry a 5,820mAh battery rated capacity, while the Reno 16F is listed with 6,325mAh. The figures are rated capacities, not typical capacities.

All three models are also shown with an Energy Class A rating. In addition, each device carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Those details point to Oppo’s emphasis on endurance and protection, even as other hardware information remains undisclosed. Chipset, camera, display, and charging specifications for Indonesia and Malaysia have not yet been revealed.

With launch dates now set, further official teasers from Oppo are likely in the coming days. For Indonesian consumers, July 3 is the key date to watch, while Malaysia will follow on July 8 with the added accessories and audio products in tow.

The next round of announcements should clarify how Oppo is positioning each Reno 16 model in the global market. Until then, the pre-order listings already show that the company is using a layered launch strategy across the region.
