Tecno Camon Slim Packs 5,600 mAh Into 6.39 Mm Body, and the Rear LED Array Stands Out

Tecno has introduced the Camon Slim with a combination that is unusual even by today’s smartphone standards: a 6.39 mm body and a 5,600 mAh battery. The pairing immediately sets the device apart, because slim phones often force users to accept smaller cells or reduced durability.

The company is also using design as a major selling point. Alongside the thin frame, the Camon Slim carries a rear lighting system built around 354 LEDs and 55 lighting scenarios, aimed at making content creation, notifications, and camera effects more expressive.

A slim phone that still prioritizes endurance

The 5,600 mAh battery is one of the most notable details in Tecno’s new model. It is supported by 60W fast charging, which gives the device a more practical profile for users who want a thin handset without constant charging interruptions.

Tecno has also equipped the phone with IP68 and IP69 certification. That means the Camon Slim is designed with strong resistance to dust and high-pressure water exposure, adding a layer of protection that is not always common in ultra-thin devices.

The curved unibody design is another important part of the package. It gives the phone a premium appearance while keeping the device comfortable to hold, according to Tecno’s positioning of the model.

Rear lighting is more than decoration

The rear panel houses 354 LEDs, and Tecno says they can operate across 55 lighting scenarios. This setup is intended to add visual flair during photos and video recording, while also functioning as a more attractive notification light.

Rather than being limited to aesthetics, the system is presented as a practical creative tool. That makes the Camon Slim feel closer to a device built for visual expression than a phone that simply uses lighting as a cosmetic accent.

Display, performance, and cameras

On the front, the Camon Slim features a 6.78-inch display with a 1224 x 2720 pixel resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel should deliver sharp visuals and smoother motion for everyday scrolling and gaming.

Under the hood, Tecno pairs the handset with a MediaTek Helio G200 chipset and 8GB of RAM. Storage options come in 128GB and 256GB versions, giving buyers a choice based on their local needs.

Camera duties are handled by a 50 MP main camera using a Sony Lytia 600 sensor in a 1/2-inch format. For selfies and video calls, the phone includes a 32 MP front camera.

Different finishes for different tastes

Tecno is offering several variants with distinct visual identities. The New Mondrian version uses a photochromic back panel that changes appearance under ultraviolet light and reveals yellow, green, and cyan blocks.

Prism Black and Jungle Green use a 3D crystal diamond pattern on the back, while Van Gogh Blue features a reproduction of Starry Night with a matte texture. The range gives the Camon Slim a stronger design identity than many thin phones that rely on a single finish.

Tecno says the Camon Slim will roll out gradually in multiple countries, but the company has not yet disclosed official pricing or the schedule for Indonesia. That leaves the phone positioned as an eye-catching addition to Tecno’s lineup, with design, endurance, and lighting effects all sharing the spotlight.
