The Blood of Dawnwalker now looks much easier to run on PC than it did in its earlier system guidance. Bandai Namco has revised the requirements downward, and the updated list gives older hardware a far better chance.
That shift matters because even cards such as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 now appear within reach for the medium tier. In a market where many new games demand increasingly powerful systems, this update stands out for being noticeably more accessible.
What the new PC requirements actually ask for
Bandai Namco has split the requirements into medium and recommended tiers. Both tiers call for Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, 16GB of RAM, and 60GB of storage.
The medium setup requires an Intel Core i5-11400F or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X. For graphics, the listed options are the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580, each with 6GB of VRAM.
The recommended setup moves up to an Intel Core i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X. On the GPU side, Bandai Namco lists the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT, or Intel Arc B580, paired with 8GB of VRAM.
| Component | Medium | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Intel Core i5-11400F / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X | Intel Core i7-11700K / AMD Ryzen 7 5700X |
| RAM | 16GB | 16GB |
| GPU | GTX 1060 / RX 580 | RTX 4060 / RX 7600 XT / Intel Arc B580 |
| VRAM | 6GB | 8GB |
| Storage | 60GB | 60GB |
| OS | Windows 10/11 64-bit | Windows 10/11 64-bit |
Why the update matters for older hardware
The revised requirements are notably lighter than the initial temporary list that appeared at the end of April 2026. The biggest change is the lower demand on both CPU and GPU, which suggests a major round of optimization behind the scenes.
Bandai Namco has not yet clarified the exact performance target for each tier. That means there is still no official confirmation on whether medium is meant for 30 FPS or 60 FPS.
Even so, 30 FPS appears to be the more realistic expectation for the lower tier. The earlier requirement set pointed in that direction, and the current medium spec now makes that goal seem more plausible.
If that proves accurate, a GTX 1060 could still handle the game at 1080p and 30 FPS. That is a meaningful result for a card that is close to a decade old.
How much headroom different PC users may have
On the CPU side, the medium tier sits in a class that many mid-range systems from the last five to six years can still match. The Intel Core i5-11400F uses six cores, while the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X offers eight, giving the game a broad but still manageable entry point.
RAM is less forgiving, however, because 16GB remains the baseline for both tiers. Even if an older GPU qualifies, systems with less memory will still fall short of the current guidance.
The GPU floor is especially important for players trying to judge compatibility quickly. By naming the GTX 1060 and RX 580, Bandai Namco is effectively signaling that many cards from the last decade remain viable.
That includes the GTX 1070, GTX 1080, and the RTX 20, 30, 40, and 50 series on NVIDIA’s side. On AMD’s side, cards such as the RX 580, RX 590, RX 5600 XT, RX 5700, and RX 5700 XT should also sit comfortably above the minimum level.
Intel Arc users also get a clearer picture. Bandai Namco places the Intel Arc B580 in the recommended tier and says the Intel B570 should also be enough to run the game well.
Upscaling support is confirmed, but more details are still missing
Bandai Namco has also confirmed support for DLSS and FSR. That gives players an extra performance option if their system lands just below the ideal target.
What is still missing is the official preset and performance breakdown for each category. The publisher says that information will be shared later, and it will be key to understanding how demanding the game really is in practice.
For now, the safest reading is straightforward: The Blood of Dawnwalker appears significantly more approachable for PC players than first expected. A machine with a mid-range CPU, 16GB of RAM, and a GPU in the GTX 1060 or RX 580 class has a real chance of making the cut.
