Samsung has started rolling out a new security update for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, and the move arrives while users are still waiting for One UI 9.0. The latest package does not change the tablet’s appearance, but it does address an important security gap.
The June 2026 security patch is designed to close 45 vulnerabilities found in earlier system software. For owners of Samsung’s flagship tablet, that makes this update the most immediate improvement available right now.
Early rollout begins in South Korea
Samsung is initially distributing the update in South Korea, covering both cellular and non-cellular versions of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. That early launch suggests a staged rollout, with wider availability expected to follow.
The firmware builds currently listed for the first wave are X920XXS8DZF2 and X926NKOS8DZF2. Each version corresponds to one of the tablet’s variants now entering the update cycle.
Users outside South Korea may not have to wait long. Samsung is expected to expand the June 2026 security patch to more Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra units and additional markets in the coming days.
Security now, major software changes later
For users checking their tablets manually, the update path is simple: Settings > Software update > Check for updates. That is the quickest way to see whether the patch has already reached a device.
The security release arrives at a time when Samsung is also developing One UI 9.0 for the same tablet line. That next major release is expected to matter more for interface changes and new features than for system protection.
One UI 9.0 is said to be based on Android 17 and may bring more customization options along with additional features. However, it is not available to download yet on the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Samsung is expected to introduce the stable version next month alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. Until then, the June 2026 patch remains the most concrete software update for the tablet.
What the rollout signals for owners
The update also shows that Samsung is keeping software support active for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra while work on the next interface generation continues. That combination gives users both short-term protection and a clearer view of what comes next.
Because Samsung typically rolls out updates in phases, the absence of the patch in one country does not necessarily mean a delay. Availability often depends on the model variant and the timing of regional distribution.
For now, the focus for Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra owners is clear: install the June 2026 security patch when it appears, then wait for the larger One UI 9.0 upgrade to arrive later. Samsung has not yet detailed the full tablet-specific feature set for that release.
