Erafone and Honor are trying to bring technology closer to families through a lighter, more engaging format. At BXSea Oceanarium in Bintaro, they staged a Fun Coloring activity that used the Honor Pad X8b as the main device for children’s digital coloring.
The event was held on Saturday, 27/6/2026, as part of the school holiday season program. Rather than presenting a standard coloring contest, the activity placed a tablet at the center of the experience and turned creativity into an introduction to digital learning.
Digital coloring as a first step into technology
Children used the Honor Pad X8b to complete the prepared coloring activity on a touchscreen interface. The format gave participants a different way to explore colors, shapes, and ideas while becoming familiar with a tablet in a playful setting.
Aryo Meidianto, Head of Public Relations at PT Trinova Digital Indonesia, Honor’s official distributor in Indonesia, said the brand wants its devices to support more than productivity and entertainment. He said the goal is also to create positive experiences for children in learning and creativity.
The Honor Pad X8b is positioned as a device for the whole family. Its role extends beyond children’s activities, since parents can also use the tablet for work and everyday productivity.
BXSea adds an educational backdrop
The choice of BXSea Oceanarium added another layer to the activity. During the school holiday period, participants were not only able to join the coloring session but also spend time with the oceanarium’s collection of marine life.
That combination was designed to make the event both educational and entertaining for children and families. It gave the activity a recreational setting while keeping the product demonstration tied to a broader family experience.
The tablet’s large display was one of the features highlighted during the coloring session. It gave children more room to work digitally and made the creative process easier to follow on screen.
Family productivity remains part of the pitch
Beyond creative use, Honor Pad X8b is also presented as a tablet for education and productivity. The device includes Honor Docs, a document application that lets users create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations through an interface that resembles desktop software.
That function is meant to help parents who need a portable work device. At the same time, children can use the same tablet for learning and creative activities without changing devices.
Honor also includes Honor Kids as a dedicated digital environment for children’s development. Through the Time Management feature, parents can control usage duration so screen time stays within limits.
The Apps Management feature allows parents to decide which apps children can access. Content Management is designed to filter digital content that is not appropriate for their age group.
| Feature | Function | Primary User |
|---|---|---|
| Honor Docs | Create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations | Parents and working users |
| Time Management | Controls how long children can use the device | Parents |
| Apps Management | Limits which apps children can open | Parents |
| Content Management | Filters age-inappropriate content | Parents |
A safer approach to tablet use for children
The parental control tools reflect a broader focus on safe digital use for children. As tablets become more common for both study and entertainment, supervision remains an important part of keeping the experience productive and secure.
Through Fun Coloring, children were able to test the Honor Pad X8b in a practical setting rather than a showroom format. That approach showed how a tablet can function as an interactive learning medium as well as a device for consuming content.
Honor says it will continue offering experiences that encourage creativity, imagination, and family togetherness through technology. Its collaboration with Erafone in this activity is one example of how the brand is positioning the Honor Pad X8b for family learning and productivity needs.
