What the video showed
The clip that surfaced on X appeared to show a silver-gray iPhone 18 Pro with a more uniform rear design than the iPhone 17 Pro. The device was shown with three rear cameras, and the camera lenses appeared more prominent than those on the current Pro model.
The back of the phone also featured an Apple logo with a reflective finish. That detail drew attention because it suggested the design direction being tested was different from what many users are familiar with on the existing lineup.

The post was removed quickly
The original upload came from the X account @EvLeaks and was later reposted by tipster Ice Universe before it vanished. The post was then removed for violating X rules, and the @EvLeaks account was also suspended from the platform.
The account name caused confusion because it resembles the well-known leaker Evan Blass. Blass later said he had no connection to the new @EvLeaks account or to the iPhone leak posted from it.
In a post on X, Blass wrote that Apple seemed to have managed something Samsung could not. The remark was widely read as a nod to the long history of Samsung device leaks that often spread without major barriers.
Who triggered the takedown remains unclear
It is still not known who requested the removal of the content. There has been no confirmation whether the takedown came from Apple, Tata, or because the video was believed to be fake.
Ice Universe claimed on Weibo that Apple had blocked the leaked data on Twitter, but that claim has not been confirmed by Apple. Apple has also not publicly commented on the deleted video.
