Galaxy M47 5G Brings 6000 mAh Battery, Samsung’s Mid-Range Play Gets Sharper

Samsung’s Galaxy M47 5G is built around one clear advantage: a 6000 mAh battery that pushes endurance ahead of the 5000 mAh capacity commonly found in many Samsung phones. That extra headroom is the device’s biggest selling point in the mid-range segment.

Positioned close to the Galaxy A27 5G, the phone separates itself with battery life, faster charging, and a bypass charging feature that is still uncommon in this class. The combination makes it feel aimed at users who want long runtime without giving up practical performance features.

Performance and memory options

Samsung equips the Galaxy M47 5G with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 built on a 4 nm process. The Qualcomm mid-range chipset, released in September 2024, combines four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz.

To support that platform, Samsung uses LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The available configurations include 6GB and 8GB RAM, along with 128GB and 256GB internal storage.

Specification Galaxy M47 5G
Chipset Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, 4 nm
RAM 6GB / 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1
Battery 6000 mAh
Charging 45W

Battery life takes center stage

The 6000 mAh battery is designed to keep the Galaxy M47 5G running longer through daily use. Samsung pairs it with 45W charging, which helps shorten the time needed to refill the battery.

The phone also includes bypass charging. That feature is especially useful when the device is used while plugged in, including during gaming sessions where battery heat and charging behavior can matter more.

Large AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate

On the front, the Galaxy M47 5G uses an Infinity O Display with a punch-hole camera. The panel is a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels.

Samsung adds a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of 1400 nits. The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ for added resistance against scratches from sharp objects.

Camera setup includes OIS

The front camera is a 12MP unit placed in the punch hole. On the back, Samsung arranges three cameras in a vertical capsule-shaped module.

The rear system consists of a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The OIS support on the main sensor helps video recording stay steadier and can improve consistency when shooting in less stable conditions.

Software, features, and pricing

Galaxy M47 5G ships with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16. Samsung also promises 6 years of software updates through Android 22 and 6 years of security updates until 2031.

Other features include stereo speakers, a USB Type-C port, and a fingerprint sensor on the power button. Samsung does not mention any dust or water resistance certification for the model.

The phone comes in rogue red and blaze blue. Its starting price is set at 22.999 rupee, or around Rp4,3 million, with availability beginning on 4 July 2026.

With a large battery, fast display, OIS camera, and long update support, the Galaxy M47 5G stands out as one of Samsung’s most complete mid-range offerings. Samsung has not confirmed whether the model will be launched in Indonesia.
